Here's a great match from this weekend. Its fairly even, though I noticed a few critiques that will need addressed next weekend, but this was also the last fight of the day and we were both fairly exhausted.

In this one we change between side sword, saber and rapier

Lets talk about swords!

This one was blow for blow, with Jeff inching his way to victory with an excellent arm hit at the end.

This one was a bit one sided however my partner is still learning how to use a rapier against a broadsword which is a lot different than fighting equal weapons. He does great with matching blades and did a good job here!

Here is another excellent match with the Sabers. There are two techniques in particular I've been working that I'm pleased to see repeated results with. I may break them down in future videos or shorts.

Although the saber has more reach, my opponents height difference makes up for it, which ended up making for an even match of saber speed speed vs messer power.

This was a great match with the cold steel sabers. Experimenting a different outfit configuration, but didn't quite care for it this time. The match itself has some excellent exchanges!

Another great match from last weekend!

A fantastic longsword battle using real steel swords!

Here is another great match with broadsword and rapier. This time I have the longer wing-span which makes this the inverse of the last match. The ratio here was 2-1 in my favor.

This was an excellent match and I was very pleased at the emphasis we had on defense here. Tim has a vastly longer wing-span than I, so when holding a Rapier he is truly a challenge for me to hit. He had me about 2 to 1 on this one but it was still a brilliant match!

Here are a fun pair of matches using Alfred Hutton-style dueling sabers! I'm fighting primarily from Charles Roworth's The Art Of Defense On Foot manual but there are a few other sources inspiring my postures as well. My partners are generally rapier fencers, but they do very well with sabers too! I do notice here that I'm using my shoulder to power my cuts too much due to trying to strike from...
