Positioning your brand in a crowded market place, differentiating in a relevant and meaningful way is a marketer's challenge. Products that are differentiated in a meaningful way are remembered more by consumers - and are able to charge a higher price. Differentiation and strategic positioning starts with understanding the competitive landscape - in the consumer's mind. That is: mapping their perceptions of the brands in the category. This short video walks you through how to conduct Perceptual Maps to create the insights to begin positioning right. (5-minute video).

Using Science to Understand What Women Look for in Men
Просмотров 1483 года назад

Nationally, 200 women were given a survey-based 'choice analysis' in which they were asked to pick among a large amount of hypothetical men: men of varying heights, employment, wealth, looks, confidence, kindness, ambition, etc... The thousands of choice patterns were then analyzed to calculate t...

    Never heard of this Conjoint Analysis, perhaps it is something unique because for the better part of my life I have always heard that for a survey to represent a degree of accuracy there has to be 1000 or more people not some low number like 200. There are 100's of thousands of women in this country and he thinks he is getting an accurate picture of women by only speaking to 200 of them. Seems more of an exercise in futility than anything else.

    How worthy are such experiments of asking women of what they want, if in real life there is a big difference between what women say they do/want and what they actually do/respond to, especially when they think that nobody is watching them. Women are either not aware of what they respond to or they are ashamed of what they respond to. Or maybe keeping average dudes confused and thirsty let them easier transfer the resources from men by keeping those men in the state of hope for having sex. If a woman says "I don't have sex on the first date" and she have many one night stands because she feels that she is not on date with a guys she banging but you don’t know about it so you are waiting for the second date - is she telling the truth? Do you really care what women say?

  • @MrZola1234
    @MrZola1234 3 года назад

    The study is garbage. Stating characteristics on paper is not the same as as experiencing real interaction. Also, woman tend to assign characteristics such as funny or kind (trailing not leading characteristics ) to men they are attracted to for other factors such as Height and or wealth. Also, paper descriptions of characteristics does not account for woman’s tendency to respond to very different characteristics than what they say. The best studies are those ones that analyzed women’s choices on real dating sites. Those studies consistently show 6’ feet and 100k+ income are the dominant factors. These studies are not perfect, but significantly better than this dribble.
