I did a scrap pickup for the neighbor up the road and this gem of a welder was sitting outside for who knows how many years. I rescued it from the scrap yard and did some extensive modifications to it. First I updated the connectors to dinse 50 twist locks that are used on many new welders today. Just noodling around with my Homemade Modular Synths. Here is a video of my homemade Paia Fatman, Baby Ten Sequencer, and other homemade synthesizers. Video was made on Windows movie maker from various photos I took during the building process and demonstrating at Arch Reactor in St. Louis, MO. My super entertainment center. This is a collection of video game systems I have hooked up to 7 TV's. One of the TVs I mirrored so the picture is backwards. It makes playing Super Mario Bros. very challenging.

I took a burnt out light bulb and put an electric motor from a dvd player in it with some sand and a clock winder to turn the sand and made a sandstorm in a light bulb. Sorry for the bad mic. I'm using a webcam and the mic has a static issue.

I’ve got a Marquette 14-119 ac power pack with a Marquette redi-spot welding gun model 14-109 do you know what type of rods it uses and best place to find them
I am not sure. I haven't gotten around to fixing my spot welder yet. Was going to make an attachment and use copper electrodes on a clamp style fixture. Most likely a good weld shop could point you in the right direction, but I would think an 1/8 6013 for light guage may work. Can't be sure without seeing your setup in person and even then never had experience with that setup.

@Wolfster-fn3wm mine came from my neighbors backyard. He had a bunch of stuff and when his fence fell down the city made him get rid of all his stuff. I think he got it incomplete from an auction or garage sale years ago. He never got to use it that I know of. I know the gun you are talking about from Ebay research. It appears it was a special stick electrode that fed like a caulk gun to simulate spot welds. It basically worked like a fancy tac welding machine from my research. Like I said I would try 6013 or anything for light guage work. It is just a transformer based welder like the old lincoln buzz boxes known as tombstone welders.

What you have made would be considered a metal vapor discharge light. the vaporized tungsten filament (tungsten vaporizes over time and eventually the wire splits) works like a halide salt.
Nice, i love the sound of it. Is there any way to connect the chain straight from the centrifugal clutch directly to the rear sprocket? Or does it not align right?
The chain is just standard bicycle chain and the clutch sprocket is number 35. It would have to be machined custom but then the gear ratio would be way off. If it were a bigger motor it could be direct chain drive with no clutch but that would be a throw back to early board track racers that were a little crude (no brakes equals death). I was going for a homemade moped/motorized bike project.
Do you have any more videos of that bike?
This is the only one I have right now. This video was after I rebuilt the jackshaft but it has since broke again and I just haven't fixed it yet. I tried starting it recently but it has sat too long and will need a new carb if I can't find a carb kit. There should be more videos of such projects in the future whenever funds will allow.
