Camera doesn't do too good at the beginning with the bright lights, but gets better after the beginning.

DUDE I WAS THERE! Black skillet T shirt, going absolutely BUCKWILD, AND JOHN POINTED AT ME SEVERAL TIMES!
After this show I lost my voice for months
I WAS THERE!!!! What a Rocking Concert!!!!
Boas tarde eu querou seu número seu circular eu querou fala vc
They can still get that old school Stryper guitar tone to this day, live. How cool is that?
Wow..this is actually good..Michael does not look too hagard. And the playing is tight and cool drummer concept showing the audience how Robert blast and pound those drums.
Wow..this is actually good..Michael does not look too hagard. And the playing is tight and cool drummer concept showing the audience how Robert blast and pound those drums.
It’s great to see a band from the 80s that doesn’t remind me of my grandpa. If there wearing wigs and dying their gray hair black then that’s totally bad ass! They look and sound great and that drummer is awesome! There representing what I was and still am a fan of, and NOT representing a tired, worn out, old cringy version of what I am a fan of. Praise god!
AWESOME!!
Too bad we can't hear Oz's gitar.
God bless Stryper!
Who is the base player?
Perry Richardson..formerly of Firehouse. He's a great fit for the band.
SO SHWEEEETTT...much love Tee with LIONS NAMED LEO.[the music worldwide} [[no pun intended]].....ROCK ON BROTHERS..!!!
i saw these guys in 87 and 89.......ms voice was beyond amazing it has darkened since then.
Robert bangin' the drums!!!
I was there! Y&B
There is no Stryper without Tim Gaines.
Or C.C. Deville
didnt even recognize mike ...wow .but .hey not a young man anymore...
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Michael looks like Elvis
I was there
I want to see them!!!
He can't sing so good anymore. Nasal voice
Dude can sing and play guitar amazingly
Robert sounds fine here. His timing is perfect, and tempo as well. It is not that he 'cymbal happy.' His high hat needs to be closed tighter.
th is is the best christian metla song ever i whish stryper would write more songs like this epic with time changes
Is it me or is oz fox and his guitar can't be heard what so ever I can't hear one note he's playing what the heck. And Robert needs to chill on those fills and just play the song. This is my favorite stryper song such a great song and band been a stryper fan since 1985 and I feel they are very underrated as musicians and as a band especially now days. I've been a metalhead since 1983 I live and breathe heavy metal and despite what others may think I love stryper good metal is good metal and stryper rocks. And God rules.
Wait a second....is that Oz or Spiderman? lol
Another great intro like other great bands
ROCKS MY WORLD......!!!
Since about the past 8 or 10 years, Michael has trouble hitting the high notes. He backs away from the mic and gestures for the audience to sing, or he substitutes a lower note. As a band though, they’re still great! I’ve always been a huge Stryper admirer. God bless them. The vocals just aren’t there in the uber high register anymore. Geddy Lee started doing the same thing for the last 10 or 12 years of Rush too. **EDIT** Although Bro. Michael isn’t nailing those high, high notes now-a-days, he still has a marvellous voice; his range is reduced somewhat. That’s fair. The boys aren’t 21 - rather, middle 50s or more.
Add Coverdale from Whitesnake to that list of singers.
I agree with you. I would rather hear singers sing in a lower register and miss some high notes, than have them sound perfect singing with a track. I have allot respect for singers that know they could sound great if they track, but instead they really sing.
I'm surprised no one commented on the Fact, that you can't hear Oz Fox's guitar in this particular camera's recording. But I'm sure it was heard in the house speakers. But I really enjoyed hearing Mike, it was like standing beside his Marshall !
When it's filmed directly in front of Mike's monitor and he's got it cranked, you're not gonna here much else.
When I saw Stryper live for the first time, in November of 1985, they opened with Battlehymn and Soldiers, what a great show and a great time to be 17.
Agreed...epic times. Was legendary back in the 80's. Stryper always puts on a great show.
saw them in 89 at the orange show san bernardino CA
Where was this?
The Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis
Did Robert Sweet have a stroke? He doesn't seem right 🤔
He almost cancelled. He was sick. He still showed up and did awesome. I was there just to the left of this camera person.
@@monalizaf thx for this info.
Robert sweet Sounds like he's playing a little out of time
He is the timekeeper ...
What would u know?
voice = shot.
@@gregoryvanhalen says the guy who knows fuck-all about me.
I apologize for my stupid comment. A few too many bourbons.
@@gregoryvanhalen Well, that's ok. My original comment is probably not very clear but his voice is gravelly and simply not at all the voice he had back in the day. He used to be like Dennis DeYoung tone with more range. I kind of liked Stryper a little back when they were doing these tunes for the first time.
Come on Robert. Quit making up fills and play the right beats. No more coffee for you before a gig.
Yeah, right! I didn't realize the drummer was such a cymbal happy kind of drummer. Or he needs to do all kinds of things to keep him interested. I haven't a clue.
this is just what happens from a close mic to stage away from FOH PA, you're not used to hearing live on-stage acoustics
@@BrooksHanes he can play whatever he wants. It is his band after all. My comment was geared toward the fact that , as a drummer I noticed he was adding a lot more than just the normal song notes. I have done that many times and each time I got a "talking too" after the gig.
@@studio421 understood. Sometimes we add more in a gig when we're excited or the audience is needing a kick ;)
Ur not the drummer mate, I think Robert knows more about what the song needs
He was still sick in Elkhart memorial day weekend but he still worked his butt off.
Does the guitar of michael says ibañez?
Washburne.
welcome monterrey
Wow..that was great!!thx.for sharing.
🌟 🤘🏻 💒
These guys still out rock pretty much everyone. And the latest record GDE is incredible & personally I think in the top 2. Michael must have had a cold that night because he sounds WAY better than that on tour this year.
Dee Snyder on Bass!!! Hahahahaha!!!!
🤣
Thats Perry Richardson, ex Firehouse bassist!
@@boxdoc5069 Perry is a monster on Bass.
@@GlamprinceRockking I got the chance to meet him and the guys from firehouse many years ago. Super cool guys.
"Boy, they got fat, but still sing great!" "God bless!"
But look at you brah.. put the hot pockets away brah....
Not compared to many other bands for that era. Michaels face filled out, but he is not fat.
Awesome Glory Glory Hallelujah
the best band world
I was there for this performance, and despite Mike not being 100%, it was still a great show, and he still sounded really good!
I didnt even know Michael wasn't 100% I thought he sounded phenomenal that night
Did they still throw bibles out into the crowd? Pure metal to me!
Awesome.... Best band ever 😎👍
The camera man is even rocking to this song...... Look ❣️..... Awesome Stryper 😘
Battle Hymn & then Soldiers yep, goes good together. Had plans last year but due to family stuff I couldn't make it. Hope they come back through Ohio or Jergels. Thanks, for the upload.
