Personally I can use any card without abilities and still enjoy it, 3 or 4 month from now 2 ability points will mean nothing really and you can just activate in on pretty much any player you like anyway, early in the game it’s a huge advantage but not in a long run imo

The base 8xf won't go up

The captains will go up but how often? If it’s once every two month we will see them not very useable. I still will make them because otherwise there is nothing else to chase in the game but the progression for cards you have to invest a lot should be better

Last year FTP had more options to build the team, I think this year you also can have an awesome team without spending money but the gap is bigger

People do spend money / coins to make them from scratch. You can save when you wait, but that’s the cost of the card, not everyone wants to grind chores to get fodder every day or week so some just work the AH or send money on packs

I would agree if they would upgrade at least once a month like they did last year.

Like tape to tape - my favourite, quick draw will always be good silver or gold, shutdown was op last year, this year I didn’t really noticed a lot but still good

Endurance is a joke when you can only use the card one shift or rush and need to change instantly

You can earn 500k in few weeks when you play the game and sell the cards you don’t use. I constantly spend coins on players or things and earn it back in a week or two. Making players cheap makes pack pulls worthless

Joe base card saved me early in the game, really great budget option. I know that Steve has few lower overall card, I should probably be more clearer on what I meant, it was about him not having an hologram icon or close to 87 overall card so this milestone is the best option of his card in the game. There are so many low overall cards with similar stats so you can save so much coins and get almost the same performance

Hate using “must make” card, there are so many good cards as good as MSPs or chase cards. They will all reach 99 for sure but it also means same players getting 99s because that’s how they upgrade, now they cost 900k but if you have coins and are wondering to make an 87 icon or just buy player for champs and after sell sell while in the background you make the icons in my opinion is a better move, the cards are exactly the same from stats perspective.

@@DinoKrista I understand your point, I guess it depends on how much time each person plays. I made Mcdavid and a few holograms early on and I think it was a good investment of my resources. I will consistently have arguably the best cards in the game and only need a few tokens to upgrade it. I disagree in them being the exact same, Xfactor Mcdavid has gold wheels and free AP.

With amount of cards we see each week ( fodder ), TBs are too expensive. You need at least 2 to be able to after trade them so it even makes them more expensive. X-factors and PUI are not bad cards but if they don’t upgrade one a month it’s not really worth it. Will still make McDavid as its something to chase an maybe even some icons because there will be not enough to do in the game, just don’t see the point this year really

Even the Team Builder are nowhere near worth the price.

I am not including anything “free” but if you would just buy the cards from scratch it would around 1.7 ( at least that was the cost this weekend when I last checked AH ), that doesn’t include buying icon packs or anything else. Again, it’s my opinion only, I don’t think it’s worth it. They will stay at 87 until late December now probably or even early January so we all can make them in this time frame but I prefer using my free “fodder” to make MSPs to add some variety to my team not use the same players all year as I did prior years

I see what you’re saying , just pointing out cost wise and if they continue to keep giving out free ones in wildcard along with ones on packs for 82000 it’s a lot cheaper then the 1.7 million of just paying 76 plus players. The main bonus of those players is that free 2 ability points

You don’t have to watch something you don’t like, I am not forcing you. I am sharing my opinion not forcing you on anyone. If you want to make them - do it, I don’t see point of spending my cards of making an “chase card” who don’t upgrade for multiple months when I can use the cards to make MSPs and my coins on other cards to make my team better and not the same for multiple months because once you add the chase card and imo McDavid is the only one worth making you would not want to remove them from your team so you are stuck with the expensive cards all year long

You think trading his X factor let’s say at 88 or 90 overall is worth for TOTY card who probably will be cheaper than 6M coins?

@@DinoKrista this year compared to previous years we get less of UT fodder compared to previous years, but we still get quite a bit. I've had McD TOTY for the last 3or 4 years and thats because of Xfac card and fodder available. We also know that prices shoot up for toty and with more people having easy access to coins this year might get extra crazy and 6mil might nit be enough. So i do believe that it is worth it to get his XF and hopefully be able to trade it in, obviously there are no guarantees with this years content team, so i might be a risk. BUT the main advantage is having the best card in the game for the longest time, so if you can then get him. Gold wheels with 0AP is a cheat code.

@@PFrid88 Nothing wrong with making X factors, I am also making them but I think with this years "fodder" and what we can earn it is expensive, same collections but last years rewards would be a different story. Will get Mcdavid done in a month or so maybe already and free wheels are great but the cost and time it takes playing to get it compared to last year and luck in X factor choice packs is different

But it’s also easy to buy a card, free ability is great but the points will go up and the wheels will always cost 2p only so is that really that huge of an advantage later in the game cycle?

Eichel is good for me and plays great. Champs always had skill based matchmaking except this year. One T is the same as cross crease last year, it’s in the game so people will use it.

@DinoKrista yeah it just shows mad lack of skill if that's what people go to is the skill bases 1 t, and like I said when I go into hut champs, I expect that I could play the best person that got a champ collectible or I could play the worst person that got a champs collectible, so that way I don't even care about skill-based matchmaking a lot of people just use sbmm as an excuse in a lot of games

I have people in the discord saying how weird it was, a lot of easy or super hard games because of who you matched against. Not sure if EA does it on purpose or it’s just in our heads but the gameplay isn’t consistent at all

Online feels weird, one week I win all games and another I lose all games, just no consistency at all for me. Bonus packs looked good for me, maybe nothing big but better than I was expecting for sure

@@DinoKrista no, it’s not broken. They’re not gonna feed u easier matchups to get your 10 wins… it’s luck of the draw, who’s online, what your rank is, etc

@ It is because the skill base matchmaking should match you with same win / loss players not all the way around. The more you win the harder games get and that’s why going 20:0 is hard. I never said they should feed me easy opponents but if someone lose 10 games on a row they should never face someone who won 10 in a row in game 11. Skill based matchmaking isn’t luck

Damm, it’s because it starts at different time now as well. There are timers all over the screen when you enter champs but it always ends on Monday morning. That’s why I try and do my all games on Saturday and Sunday

@ yea.. I started in sunday and got to play my 1 game out of 3 in today like 5-6 h ago. From now on I start on saturdays and end in sunday

@ That’s my strategy, also games on Sundays are always easier than Saturdays
