Alice Cooper: “Ballad of Dwight Fry/I Love the Dead” live w/on-screen lyrics
Просмотров 782 месяца назад
Presented in its original 16:9 format, upscaled to HD. Captured during the “Brutally Live” tour in 2000. Venue: Labatt's Hammersmith Apollo in London, England. Includes the infamous guillotine designed by “The Amazing Randi”, Canadian-American Stage Magician/Author (1928-2020, RIP). Dwight Frye Trivia: - “Fry” is actually an incorrect spelling of his name, which is “Frye”. Cooper may have inten...
Bad Company: "Rock Steady" - Live at the Paramount Theatre, Denver, CO - 2002
Просмотров 758 месяцев назад
Captured during the band's tour in support of the "Merchants of Cool" album. Of note, longtime session guitarist Dave “Bucket” Colwell plays in the place of original member Mick Ralphs, along with Jaz Lochrie on bass sitting in for Boz Burrell. This is one from the pre-HD archives, so please excuse the 720p resolution. However, the audio is excellent.
Spinal Tap: Big Bottom - Live w/on-screen lyrics
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.10 месяцев назад
An incredible tune performed live by one of the most creative and by far the loudest Metal band on the planet... I mean, who performs with three members playing bass on the same song, including a double-neck? These guys do in this instance, and it fits the subject matter perfectly. Ingenius! Also included is a short closing interview with lead guitarist Nigel Tufnel, another notable situation s...
Rush: S&A Tour 2007 - "Entre Nous” w/on-screen lyrics

A criminally underrated track, captured here during the “Snakes & Arrows” tour 2007 stop in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Dedicated to Neil Peart. 1952-2020: With much love and respect, RIP. Intro band portrait by my dear old friend, Döc Ivan.
Richard Pryor: “Mudbone” - Uncensored, Complete and Remastered
Просмотров 85 тыс.Год назад
In my opinion, this is by far the most hilarious stand-up bit the immortal Richard Pryor ever created: "Mudbone". Consisting of two tracks, it was originally released on the album “Is it something I said?”, which went on to win a Grammy Award for “Best Comedy Recording” in 1976. Its two parts have been merged into one continuous story, with remastered audio for crystal clear sound. I’d strongly...
Modern Drummer Festival 2020 - Mike Portnoy (clip 3/5)

With the passing of Mr. Peart, I'd argue that Mike Portnoy is now the best Progressive Rock Drummer on the planet. Here he performs a tribute to Neil, playing some of his most iconic riffs on a nearly-identical Tama era drum kit. NOTE: Previous low audio level issue has been corrected in this clip. Presented here by Cygnus Studios in full 1080p HD resolution. Complete playlist at: ruclips.net/p...

Emerson, Lake and Palmer: Hoedown (Live at Montreux 1997)
Просмотров 235Год назад
Emerson, Lake and Palmer, known to all as ELP, were progressive rock’s first supergroup. Keith Emerson (keyboards) came from The Nice, Greg Lake (guitar, bass & vocals) from King Crimson and Carl Palmer (drums) from Atomic Rooster. Formed in 1970 they were an instant success and went on to have a series of huge selling albums throughout the seventies before splitting up in the early eighties. R...
Rush - Geddy’s day off
Просмотров 84Год назад
Rush, minus Geddy’s vocals. Hey, it ain’t easy to sing for 40 years at that level, so the guy definitely deserves a day off. Your turn, maybe you can come closer to the heart? Official original complete track, from the album "A Farewell to Kings”... ruclips.net/video/kyhW2v0NDM0/видео.html
“If I’d Been The One” - .38 Special - Isolated vocals

A heartbreaker, from Southern Rock supergroup .38 Special. Isolated lead and backing vocals by Don Barnes... This guy's got some major pipes, awesome singer. Original track: ruclips.net/video/W7Olj3iySkU/видео.html
“Candle In The Wind”: Elton John - Isolated vocals

Elton’s tribute to a true Superstar, Marilyn Monroe. His amazing backing vocalists have also been isolated.
"Sweet Child O' Mine": Slash isolated
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.Год назад
Isolated Slash guitar work on “Sweet Child O' Mine”, from the album “Appetite for Destruction”. Duff McKagan’s bass remains on the intro along with Izzy Stradlin’s rhythm guitar throughout. The remainder of the track is 100% Slash. Sounds better this way anyway. 🤘 There’s a lot of little nuances in his playing here, many of which you’d probably never notice listening to the original album. Pers...

Omg if Rick Wakeman ever gets tired of being a musician, he can always make another fortune doing stand-up😂😂😂😂👍🏼
Yes. Uma lenda. Imortal. Chris😢. Geddy fantástico.
Trying to listen to this in my office while trying desperately not to laugh out loud and failing miserably! As funny as it was when I heard it the 1st time.😂🤣
I got to meet 9 members of YES over the years..and each and every one of them were kind, courteous human beings. 9 ? I don;t know if there are more I missed..but the list was AWBH, Trevor 1, Trevor 2, Chris Squire. Alan White, Patrick Moraz, T Levin..wait that's 10!
8-track tape player plugged into a guitar amp. RUSH. Yes. Genesis. Played along on drums and made mistakes. AGAIN!!. Over and over. Drove my mother nuts!! My brother picked up the guitar. He came home from band camp and played "Mood For A Day" and then went on to play "The Clap". Had a lot of fun in the 90s. I miss him.
Neil as his wife said, was not only one of the greatest drummers ever, the Man had his Doctorate in Drumming. He was literally a Doctor. He also did as his wife also said, wrote many or most of the lyrics for Rush.
The Neil Peart Jersey is Gorgeous, as well as the Neil Replica Kit. So awesome.
Rick Wakeman's is the greatest induction speech not only of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but of any ceremony ever
Really miss YES. I got to see them 3 times in Boston during the late 1990s. All outstanding experiance.
Fucking MONSTERS!
Geddy ain't fucking around.
Doesn’t get better
NERDS!!!!
Love that Steve was playing bass on Owner! 😊❤️
Saw them at Jiffy Lube this past summer I smiled the whole show
Where’s Bill Bruford??
That was spectacular, thank you Geddy.
Had this on a cassette tape in high school...top shelf classic comedy...Pryor was an American treasure...rest in peace Richard. 🙏
Richard Pryor was and still is the greatest
I remember listening to this in highschool in 1982 in the locker room!! We were dying laughing!!
Okay, so from Rolling Stone interviews etc, it seems he just didn't want to memorise a speech / make a long-winded speech. That's disappointing. I'd always assumed it wss meant to be a comment on how long it took them to be inducted, but apparently not
Actually, if you watch this entire video, you'll see that's exactly what he did. Here's a few of his actual quotes surrounding the Rock Hall, long before Rush was inducted: "Personally, it never really mattered to me." "The acknowledgement we got from the Canadian government, and by extension Canadians, is very dear to us." "The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is more a popularity contest." In all honesty, I'd rather eat a broken glass sandwich than read anything published by RS. It's beyond ironic that an organization supposedly covering music is so absolutely clueless on the subject.
A girl back in the day said " I will make out with you but only to one song." I chose Roundabout.
They are great & so is Rush. Two of my fav bands
Missed a snare hit at 3:24. that’s what i love about older recordings, it’s not like they could have gone back and edited it. it was a whole process back then and that’s what i love. It makes it 100x times impressive and it makes you realize that all these master musicians are not perfect and there are so many mistakes made during all of these older recordings.
Its cool that they included Trevor Rabbin he's a great under rated guitarist and played a pivital roll on the album Owner Of A Lonely Heart class act band
Great and underrated?? By who?? What’s his rating?
Took all the way till 2017 ?? Saw Yes in Philly on their 1973 tour, they should've been inducted then! 😎
Sorry Chris couldn't be there. He really deserved it. Love this band
Steve Howe could be in the rock and roll hall of fame all by himself.
I hope Alex doesn't mind my quoting him on my next show...
I never knew Rick Wakeman was so funny! Great job from all the guys!
Sad Rory Gallagher Was Never Mentioned in to th Hall Of Shame
Miss you Brad! I’m sorry you were hurting
Rock and roll hall of fame is political correct.NO TED NUGENT. COME ON
Neil Peart caused 680 million air drummers to happen.
That was cool
Excelente espetacular
I ain't heard this in a while but just like when RP released it I nearly pissed myself laughing. I bet my buddy's and I wore 3 r 4 albums out. "I was born in Tupelo Mississippi" to me Pryor is the one and only King of Comedy !! Thanks for a million laughs and RIP Richard
"Give them bread and circys and they will never revolt" Ancient Roman poet Juvenal. Boston was the closest thing to this, for me. Yeah queen was great but did not have all the moving parts like this , to me. Boston should be in hall of fame.
He the Best of all he is the one and only king 😂 of all
I saw them do yessongs at msg in New York city
Chris squire
I saw them at msg in New York city
What the hell is Rick Wakeman talking about - I still have tears in my eyes from laughing
I remember thinking this was super cringey the first time around. Now it just cracks me up!😂
What a musician ❤ and comedian.
What an amazing live performance- how they nailed it, and in front of the industry's who's who. Man, it was moving.
In 1967/68 when I was 7/8 yrs old, I grew up in a small town, Dalzell South Carolina. We were the only white family for miles around. There was a little old man ( I would have guessed he was 100+) that lived down the road in a little shanty, no power, no running water. Me and my best friend at the time would sit on his front porch snd listen to him tell us stories about his life. He talked exactly like mudbone. Everytime I hear Mudbone, I think of that little old man, and remember that was probably some of the best times of my life.
I use to drive through dalzell on my way to school at sumter! I live in camden!
David
Ian Gillian Made in Japan live was uncomparable
Ian!!!! No contest
David Coverdale!
OMG! With Geddy Lee on bass. Fantastic. Loved Rick Wakeman on keys and Trevor Rabin as well. I had never even heard of "Yes" until "Owner of an Only Heart". Then I discovered the rest!
Where is tony kaye.
