Thanks for the tutorial, got through everything. The problem I have is that the motor has sucked parts of the belt and is now hesitant to work and gives a slight melted belt scent. Can I open up the motor cover to clean it?

You forgot to mention that when connecting water pipe insure the rubber seal is present in the connector.

Not all washing machines need to go to waste unlike this Hotpoint. Very few brands still make washers with a splittable tub which means that it is held together with screws and removing those gives us access to the bearings and spider making their replacement easier.

Hotpoint machines are notorious for this, failing after 3-4 years, as are many brands these days I suspect. It's a massive shame they're not repairable these days, just a way to make more profit and generate more environmental waste at the same time. Saying that, people probably wouldn't bother having them repaired, cheaper to get a new one, unlike the older machines which if repaired would likely go on for years.

Just bagged me one of them seen as my Logik aka Currys own brand dryer packed in. Hopefully this one will be better 🤞🏻

Using a dish washer on ordinary shoes is a no go or in a washing machine plus you put the cleaning tablet just loose not in the tablet holder It's not very hygenic either in the dish washer.Trainers usually come up good.

Brilliant video owning 22 washers myself I’ve done many of these drum swaps mainly because Pepole do not look after there machines by doing a 90 at least once every two weeks my machines seem to run quite happy Glad to see Pepole repairing machines instead of just throwing it away

For it to handle that weight thats a damn good washer
