Rhythm in English Speaking (How People Really Speak English)
Просмотров 4,8 тыс.9 часов назад
Learn how to use rhythm, and you will speak English in a more native-like way! English is a "stress-timed" language, which means a) we stress certain sounds in a sentence and b) we leave an equal amount of time between all of these stresses. This creates a rhythm. If you don't use this rhythm, your English speaking won't sound particularly advanced even if you use all of the correct words. If y...

There is more than one way to pronounce vowels in English speaking - find out the most important alternative! The "schwa" sound is the most common alternative when people speak English - also know as the "weak form". We use it whenever a vowel occurs in a word than has no actual meaning of its own (it's just a grammar word), or in syllables in longer words than do not contain stress. Sometimes ...
Colloquial English Speaking (How People Really Speak English)
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.21 день назад
Colloquial English is an additional, informal range of language that people speak in local areas of native English speakers. People who speak English in a particular part of the world (e.g. USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, etc) have a "general" vocabulary range (i.e. the language that all English speakers use), and they also have a more specific vocabulary range (i.e. particula...

Excellent video Rupert, learened so much !!
That's music to my ears. I don't like when some people blow their trumpet and like a broken record. If I don't work well, we might face the music. I don't care I will just play it by ear. I used to play second fiddle when I was participating in mass scenes. Sometimes the classes are boring and I always tried to jazz it up. After discussing that matter with our coworkers, we struck a chord with us.. I have to change my tune in order to succeed in life. I always fancy to be as fit as a fiddle that is why I always go for a long walks. Once I spared one of my relatives for stealing because He was an old man. Otherwise he would be caught red handed. Some electriciand or gasmen cook the books while checking your gas or electric. Yesterday while we were playing a table tennis, two players quarreled and after some moment it escalated into a real fight, If we hadn't intervened in time, the situation would have been out of hand and none of them came clean and got away with murder. After exceeding the speed, our driver did a runner. He is doing time for killing his sons. I wish everyone woud go straight. Despite covering their tracks, the thieves were caught and apprehended. We paid for gas, electric, wate, land tax, property tax and rubbish bills and now it's all above board.
What a golden tip,no one had mentioned before
I'm glad my video has helped! Thanks for commenting 🙂
Which one is correct: On the summer or in the summer?
"in the summer" is correct, but I believe sometimes Americans switch "in* for "on" for certain uses.
@speakenglishwithrupert Thanks a lot! I appreciate It.
Thanks, Teacher Rupert. I Love it.
Thanks for letting me know 👍😁
Pink Panther Rhythm!
Great video, I did not know the underlining rithm of the English language, as an Italian, this kind of stress is used in a different way, like scolding people or trying to inculcate ideas to them, lol.
That's interesting! It's amazing how such little things have different meanings depending upon where you live in the world 👍🙂
Seems like you speak British language (((
That's right 👍🙂
Hello, Can I use 'Off' instead of using 'From' in the following sentence? 1) I brought the Machine off John's Shop. Is this sentence correct? 2) His dream place to be in New York City.
Number 1 is fine when speaking informally. Number 2 does not have a verb with tense, so it is not a complete sentence 🙂
The way you teach i understand very well thank you so much God bless you
Thanks so much! God bless you too!
Good English thank you so much sir
whereRare you going? I want to goWover there. Get a taxiYand a bus.
Your videos are incredibly improving my English. Thank you for your service. But, I am amazed why people don't subscribe for this best educational channel. I see many trivial videos with huge subscription. You deserve 10 Million subscriptions.
I really appreciate your kind comment! 😁👍
I think it is because when it comes to learning English people like any thing other than mere grammer I find Speak English With Rupert a great find myself
Outstanding from all other multiple English learning videos! Thanks a lot!
It's wonderful to hear you enjoyed the video 👍🙂
Good explanation but it is a I little boring, probably because it is way too repetitive or redundant. That's my little observation.
Fantastic and another more different than your last lesson, your nature is being awesome i reckon because your every new video is covered layer of English proficiency which draws my attention so thanks for your new lesson again ❤❤❤❤❤!
Thanks Muhammad!! Yes, that's my idea. It's best to learn all the features of English bit by bit, rather than all at once. I'm glad it's helping you :)
Learned great speaking. Thanks for teaching me. I enjoyed it very much.
That's so good to hear! Thanks for letting me know 😁
I love it! It's Absolutely Brilliant, Thanks ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
One of the few "speak English" chans I have seen with realistic advice. Usually I see things like "If you know these four words, your English is excellent!"
It took me most of my life (I am old) but I finally figured out that written language is actually pretty inadequate to represent actual speech.
Thanks Freeda! Indeed. Written English and spoken English are nearly two different languages :)
Thank you teacher Rupert.

Oh very deep and noticable video of short period this is why I'm big fan of British people by heart in British English whether we dive into slang or advance verbs n phrases or formal English I mainly follow up and endeavor to adopt the etherialism of British English 😅😊😅😅😊 however I belongs to Pakistan although not particular native speaker because I'm not called a brit I call pak native but it wouldn't be dissimilar fact if I had British citizenship If I was physically in England by birth I would be cherish for British people 😢😢😢😢😢😢 Ala's 💔💔💔
Very interesting! Thanks for commenting :)
@speakenglishwithrupert could you bespeak something more for emphasis if you don't mind?
I enjoyed it very much, Teacher Rupert.
That's great to hear! All the best Rupert
Hi Rupert, are all of the sentences grammatically correct? 1) which checking account do you want to get it deposited into? 2) Into which checking account do you want to get it deposited? 3)In which checking account do you want to get it deposited? 4) Which checking account do you want to get it deposited in?😊 If correct, what is the difference between 'In' and 'Into' in this sentence?
Hi Dan I'm happy with all of these sentences. "In" and "into" are often interchangeable. "Into" emphasises the entry of something, whilst "in" usually means "located there", but "in" can also refer to the entry of something too. So, "into" can usually be changed to "in", but "in" cannot always become "into".
Hi Rupert, thank you. Another question is Which prepositional phrase is correct? 1) She washes the dishes by hand. 2) She washes the dishes with her hands.
Hi Dan, "by hand" is definitely the most common collocation here
As Rupert says, they are all correct. I might add that "to" can also be used instead of "in" or "into."
2 channels? ❤❤❤
Yes! RUclips seems to prefer different channels for different genres. At least that's my experience 😃
You are really awesome bro, because you thought me something that deeper things related this English language which is not that easy to me to that I can get it from somewhere else, thank you very much......
❤❤❤❤🙏 I really like your accent. If I could learn to understand these things more.
I think this is where watching a lot of English speaking video or TV helps a lot - this gradually tunes your listening for the weaker and stronger sounds 😀
@speakenglishwithrupert Thanks for the helpful advice.
Colloquialism is generally the set of verbs and other phrases maybe noun phrases mainly used by natives of different English nation's so the main factor in English is to be proficient in the world of English countries that course would let us uplift to the next level which is undoubtedly expressive and will lead our proficiency to the etherialism 😊😊😊😊
Learning language is easy unless its idiom, prahsa, etc Example: The flood take lives 100 people In Indonesiaan "take live" =killed It's not common, in Indonesian we usually use "eat victim"=killed
Thank you very much Teacher Rupert. The school of hard knocks. Knowledge is power.
That is very true! Thanks for commenting :)
Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you for being honest. Yet I would not promote the use of the words that distort the language. Your presentation is like a "school" of music that starts with rap instead of Bach.
Thanks for commenting! This is, genuinely, what a lot of people do, and, I'd go further, what a lot of people expect. However, there is no obligation to "follow the crowd" 😀
is there any difference between licence/ license
In general, "c" is the noun from and "s" is the verb from. US English prefers "c" a lot more, though.
Thank you very much teacher Rupert. Your videos are helpful.
Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂
@@speakenglishwithrupert my pleasure.
