எம்.எஸ் விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்கள் டியூன் கம்போஸ் செய்வதில் பெரிய லெஜெண்ட் மற்றும் ஆர்கெஸ்ட்ரேஷனிலும் அவர் கைதேர்ந்தவர். ஆனால் அதேபோல் இளையராஜாவும் டியூன் கம்போஸ் செய்வதிலும், ஆர்கெஸ்ட்ரேஷன் மற்றும் பின்னணி இசையில் சாதித்திருக்கிறார் ஏன்? ஒரு படி இல்லை பல படிகள் மேலே போய் மிரட்டி இருக்கிறார் என்றும் சொல்லலாம். திரை இசையில் ஆரம்ப காலத்தில் அக்குஸ்டிக் அனலாக் மோனோ சிங்கிள் ட்ராக் ஆடியோ ரெக்கார்டிங் தான் இருந்தது. பின்பு தான் 2 ட்ராக் மற்றும் 8 ட்ராக் அக்குஸ்டிக் அனலாக் ரெக்கார்டிங் வந்தது, அதற்குப் பிறகு மல்டி ட்ராக் ஸ்டீரியோபோனிக் ரெக்கார்டிங் வந்தது இந்த முறைகளான ரெக்கார்டிங் டெக்னாலஜிக்குள் எம்.எஸ். விஸ்வநாதன், இளையராஜாவின் காலம் அமைந்திருந்தது.மேலே கூறிய அத்தனை ரெக்கார்டிங் டெக்னாலஜிகளும் அடங்கிய அனலாக் சவுண்டை டிஜிட்டல் ஆக மாற்றும் டிஜிட்டல் ஆடியோ ஒர்க் ஸ்டேஷன் என்னும் (DAW ) (எண்முறை ஒலி பணியகம்.)மியூசிக் சாப்ட்வேர்ஸ் அண்ட் ஹார்டுவேர்ஸ் சார்ந்த டெக்னாலஜி வந்திருந்தது அதில் ஏ.ஆர் ரகுமான் பரிச்சாத்து முறையில் செய்து பார்த்தார் அது ஒர்க் அவுட் ஆகி நடைமுறைக்கு வந்தது. முந்திக்கொண்டு கையில் எடுத்துக் கொண்டார். அந்த டிஜிட்டல் ஆடியோ ஒர்க் ஸ்டேஷன் ரெக்கார்டிங் இசை அது தான் ரோஜா படம். அந்த படத்தின் சவுண்டிங்கை தான் அந்த (டா) சாப்ட்வேர் டெக்னாலஜி ரெக்கார்டிங்கை தான் எல்லோரும் ஒரு ட்ரெண்டாக நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் அந்த வகையான டிஜிட்டல் ஆடியோ ஒர்க் ஸ்டேஷன் சாப்ட்வேர் டிஜிட்டல் சவுண்டிங் ஏற்கனவே 1980 களிலேயே மேற்கத்திய ஹாலிவுட் படங்களின் பின்னணி இசையிலும், பாடல்களிலும், தனி இசை ஆல்பங்களிலும் பயன்படுத்தி வந்த மியூசிக் டெக்னாலஜி தான். இந்த டெக்னாலஜி இந்தியாவிற்கு புதிது ஆனால் உலகத்திற்கு புதிதல்ல. இங்கே நாம் கூறும் ரஹ்மானின் இசை ட்ரெண்ட் என்பது ரஹ்மானின் இசை ட்ரெண்டல்ல அவர் பயன் படுத்திய மியூசிக் சாப்ட்வேர் டிஜிட்டல் ஆடியோ ஒர்க் ஸ்டேஷன் மற்றும் ஹார்டுவேர் டெக்னாலஜியின் ட்ரெண்டு தானே தவிர. ரஹமானின் இசை ட்ரெண்டு அல்ல. அந்த டெக்னாலஜி ரெக்கார்டிங் முறையை தான் அவருக்கு பின் வந்த அனைத்து இசையமைப்பாளர்களும் பயன்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். இந்த டெக்னாலஜியை கண்டுபிடித்தது ரகுமான் இல்லை. அந்த டெக்னாலஜியை பயன்படுத்தி இசையை உருவாக்கினார். உதாரணமாக டிஜிட்டல் ஸ்மார்ட் போட்டோ ஸ்டில் கேமராவில் போட்டோ எடுத்துக் கொடுக்கும் போட்டோகிராபர் தான் ஏ.ஆர் ரகுமான். அந்த டிஜிட்டல் ஸ்மார்ட் ஸ்டில் டிஜிட்டல் கேமராவை கண்டுபிடித்த இன்வெண்டர் ரகுமான் அல்ல. டிஜிட்டல் கேமரா வந்த பிறகு எல்லோருமே டிஜிட்டல் கேமராவில் தான் போட்டோ எடுக்கின்றனர் அதனால் முதன் முதலில் டிஜிட்டல் கேமராவை ஒருவர் எடுத்துக் கொண்டு வந்தால் அவர்தான் திறமைசாலி என்பது போல தான் ரகுமானை சிலர் அறியாமல் பேசிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர் தற்போது டிஜிட்டல் கேமராவின் காலம் அதுதான் தொடர்ந்து ஓடும் இதற்கு அடுத்து என்ன புதிய ரெக்கார்டிங் டெக்னாலஜி அப்பொழுதுதான் புதிய ட்ரெண்ட் மாறும் தற்போது வரை ஓடிக் கொண்டிருப்பது ரஹ்மானின் இசை ட்ரெண்ட் அல்ல DAW டெக்னாலஜியின் ட்ரெண்ட் தான் .

I'd hate it when people say he is blessed. He himself would consider that but I personally think his success and glory was purely his passion, ambition and hardwork. I don't think any musicians in India would have explored as much variety in music as ARR. Not even greatest of the greatest. We could maybe call Mr Ilayaraja/ MSV as blessed. Since they have managed to come up with countless soul stirring tunes in such quick duration. Thats almost magical. They are certainly great but they haven't explored even half of what rahman attempted.
