What a lovely place Alva Beach is. Absolutely loved the shot of the Flattie in such shallow water. The beach has changed quite dramatically in 3 years. I think it’s a lot shallower where that dive boat came out. They use an inflatable instead now and haul out closer to the ocean.

Absolutely epic music choice and amazing drone and 360º camera footage. Have just returned from Alva Beach and it was fascinating to see how much the beach along Yongala track has changed.

Well done. About 8 years ago, I think I may have been the first to fly a drone over a fire in the Burdekin. I did so for Mal Kelly, I also did one for Dave Cox of the double rower. Anyhow, your pilot has done a professional job of flying and capturing. I don't live in Home Hill any more but enjoy reminiscing through you videos. Cheers, Mike ....

Not exactly sure of what they are doing here. But appears to be a test plot they are burning to see how it may improve harvest. They typically harvest this way here in S Fla, burning makes a cleaner sugarcane cutting, less trash in the wagon. I’ve never seen them harvest without burning here🤔

I just heard the cutting is 2023. I'll be back as a cutter. I done 15 yrs travelling 2500klms round trip to cut cane for the championships. Loved every minute. Cheers Patrick putman

Just my opinion, however if you did, (or had), to use a 'drone' all the time, some 'lower level' shots would have made for a far better film, especially since you had a 'zoom' lens. The fire I could understand as you get the 'updraft heat'. The 'old' cutter would have been nice to see - for example, as I live in a Country that doesn't grow cane and I'm sure it's a most interesting piece of machinery.

Awesome video, what brand drone did you use? I was recently in Ravenswood February 2021, and the town has again changed, the red chevy is still in the same place! I regret not having a drone myself, to capture my travelling adventures.

Speaking of drones, if Burdekin Drones has time, perhaps they could do a fly by over the brilliant sunflower spread on the highway near the Giru Woodstock Rd intersection near Giru. It looks fabulous from ground level, I can only imagine how wonderful it would look from the air.
