    2:00 for the useful stuff Basically the reason you're watching this video is you have to set a countdown. Just setting the temp isn't good enough.

    Thank you! I haven't used scalpel blades and handles before, and the removal tools seemed quite mysterious. I appreciated these clear explanations.

    David I have had a very challenging time trying to figure out why my photos would not engrave correctly on slate until I watched your video. Every other video I've come across always omitted the key ingredient - engraving settings. You are a gem!!! thank you soooooo much for sharing ALL of the details necessary to make this happen. Cheers!!

    How do you dry them?

    • @Hammond_Design_Solutions
      @Hammond_Design_Solutions 4 месяца назад

      The most efficient way is to use a dedicated filament drier. You can also use a food dehydrator but then don't use the dehydrator for food afterwards. Once dried, vacuum seal in a bag with silica gel if you are not going to use straight away. Some types of enclosed FDM printers can also dry filament by placing on the heated print bed.

    Hi mate , I bought one of these last week , set up same as yours on the ceiling but I can’t feel any usable heat from it at all , my workshop chair is basically 1.5 mtrs from it and I can’t feel a thing , if I put my hand up to it I can feel a lot of heat but come away by about a foot and nothing , had it on for two hours and I was still blowing steam from my mouth , ive contacted devola and waiting for a reply

      Try altering the mounting angle. As it is an infrared heater, the heat output is very directional. Check that the output is on full 1800w output. If you have a smart meter available, you can tell if it is on full power or not. I suspect that one element is not working, so it is only on half power (900w).

      @@Hammond_Design_Solutions I tried all sorts but nowt different, it takes ages for it even to start to warm up at all , after 5 mins or so I can still put my hand 1/2” from the front without burning so I reckon I’ve got a dodgy one

      Sounds like a faulty unit. Mine raises the workshop temperature from 5°C to 10°C in about 20 minutes. At this time of year I put the heater on about 30 minutes before I intend to start working in the workshop.
