    I have one of these. I bought mine in May 2024 and runs perfect. zero problems. I did a few mods. Larger air filter, vented filler tube, longer tank drain hose and oil drain extension.

      I specifically sent this video to them. They seemed like they could really care less. Tractor supply was great, I didn't even tell them about the issue with this one I didn't feel like hauling it back and I got that thing put back in there correctly and it's been fine so far. Still pathetic craftsmanship I think though.

      @userx702 I haven't used this one very much yet but it should definitely do it for intermittent use. I used to use a die grinder and air hammer (in short burst on occasion) on my old compressor, way smaller than this one.

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage 16 дней назад

      @petescustomcarshop I thought that's where it was made too but most of my recent craftsman purchases were from India. Sucks the Texas plant already closed but gotta give them bonus points for at least trying to bring it back to the USA. I've had pretty good luck with the 20 volt stuff I have but I'm just some dude in his garage, I'm not sure they would hold well in a professional environment. bro, the whole point of a torque wrench is accuracy. they must be calibrated. you didn’t show whether or not this tool can be calibrated. how could you fail to discuss that.

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage 16 дней назад

      @virgilwalker hey "bro" didnt think grown men would need detailed instructions to everything in life. They all came with calibration certificates and instructions on where to send it if you want it recalibrated.

    • @virgilwalker
      @virgilwalker 15 дней назад

      @@hoobsgarageyou don’t need detailed instructions if you’re just gonna send it off and pay someone else to do it. “grown men” usually don’t pay other men to handle business for them. you trust that photocopied mass produced inspection certificate? do you work on the vehicle your wife and kids ride in with that torque wrench? And you do know that men seek instruction and share information with other men on important practical and essential topics, that’s why you made this video.

    • @hoobsgarage
      @hoobsgarage 15 дней назад

      You asked the question, not me, and asked it with an attitude so i gave it right back, and you already knew it could be calibrated. Why would you not be able to calibrate it? What good is a torque wrench that can't be calibrated? And it can be done on your own if the person wants to. If that was covered in this video, then the video would've been called how to calibrate a torque wrench. I'm not gonna entertain obvious trouble making comments. You knew the answer before you asked.

    • @virgilwalker
      @virgilwalker 15 дней назад

      I appreciate that you’re trying to make helpful videos but it is very frustrating to try to get to the bottom of this on youtube, so many fail to address the calibration functionality on these tools and some of the tools are designed to make it difficult to calibrate the wrench yourself, despite the process being extremely simple until these manufacturers purposely reduce functionality and/or require a specialty tool in order to obstruct independent calibration. yes of course they want you to send it in and pay them to do it. it’s all about increasing our reliance on them and lining their pockets at every turn. like the $80+ husky torque wrench at home depot, don’t buy it. there’s little that frustrates me more than these modern BS business practices of taking away the independence of the modern handyman or shade tree mechanic. for instance modern motorcycle service manuals where instructions on essential maintenance procedures simply state “visit your authorized dealer”. i don’t mean to sound like a prick but i’ve had it up to here with that kind of BS from these companies. i think you should consider addressing this functionality in future videos because it is left out of not just your torque wrench review but the majority of them, which i found surprising and frustrating.

    • @virgilwalker
      @virgilwalker 15 дней назад

      your tools and the vehicles in your garage look great by the way. i just went through a major fiasco trying to find a quality 1/4 drive torque wrench that i can calibrate at home using my own calibration and diagnostic equipment. it’s a serious blind spot in many reviews currently available on youtube and obsessive/perfectionist craftsmen and hobbyists, or those using the tool for critically important applications really want to see and would appreciate a careful look at this functionality.

    Good video thumbs up and subbed. My 2001 town car A/C panel stopped working today. I got in and turned on the key but one of my other keys on the keychain flipped up and kind of blocked me from fully turning the key, like it didnt make a full connection. After that I noticed my A/C control panel not working right. It comes on for a split second after starting the engine, then it goes off and I cant get it to turn on. Found one blown 20 amp fuse in the interior fuse box, and didnt find anything other fuses blown in the engine fuse box. Guess I might need a new A/C control panel?

      Hey thanks for the support and thanks for watching and commenting. As for your issue I kinda agree with what you did my first instinct would've been to check they fuses in case maybe that short burst blew something. Seems like the panel itself could really be the only thing it could be or something to do with the power that feeds it. Is nothing else acting up? Kinda weird it just took out that one thing

    This is a great video. I'm fixing g to by me a Town Car. I've never had one. It worries me getting something I've never owned. I like to hit the road and not look back for days at a time. I'm gonna need something reliable. I'll probably have regular Springs put on the back of the line I get too. I'm looking at two different ones right now for around 3,000 but I'm going to try to get it for 2500. One is a 2002 and one is a 2000. This guy bought one for his daughter who just got her license and she doesn't like that big car. It's got brand new tires and battery and a tune-up and an oil change the other one's pretty but it's at a car lot in it probably needs all that stuff done. I'm scared of the car lots!

      If it's no worries you're looking for you'll probably definitely like one of these town cars. My black one has 270k on it and I'd take it on a cross country drive without hesitation. Thanks for watching and commenting and thanks for supporting the channel. Good luck with the town car If you end up getting one.
