I can't believe I have never seen this.
It's on Daily Motion ...✌
@@stevenbaker7696 It is jus tthe fact that I interviewed for Frank Zappa in 68' and never knew this existed.
@@artsahobby123 That must have been quite a shock! I only replied 'coz I looked for the film on the net today, and it is on Daily Motion (in the UK anyway) ...🙂
When did Ringo get the chance to grow his hair that long lol..never seen so much on him before
It was a wig...he's supposed to be "Frank" in this movie.
If I ever meet Ringo Starr and can only ask him one question, it would be “What was it like to work with Frank Zappa?”
Did Larry the Dwarf actually read this in front of them?
The Orchestra Question... Satire far, far ahead of it's time
my god, now those are some lines
Ha Ha, Ringo!
It's a trippy ass film I tells ya
Is there any way that I can watch it? Me and my friends have been searching for this film for a long time to little success. Any help would be greatly appreciated
love this tune, some parts at the chorus are like You Changed Me <3
My first Zappa album. I was 13 years old. Traded my sister Joe Cocker's Mad Dog's And Englishmen for 200 Motels and Black Sabbath 4. I definitely got the best deal. But what a strange movie and soundtrack though...
starrguitargoddess best deal
200 motels and vol 4 at 13? Shit must’ve changed your life
They were lucky, as Fisher was really mentally ill - later on during the recording of the Frank Zappa produced album "An Evening with W.M.F." he became dangerous. He could have gone after Martin.
For a few weeks back in the early 70's I use to hang out with Larry. A most unforgettable experience in many ways.
How did you find him
I was a DJ on the student owned FM radio station at the University of Idaho. He was going to do a concert so I pulled a bunch of his music from the station's records and also had a few from a friend and got about 15 minutes of his stuff together and played it. ( one of my death threats I go there ). My shift was over and as I was walking down the stairs to leave the Student Union I ran into Larry. So I took him back to the station and interviewed him for a few moments. After his concert he sort of stayed in town for a while. Got to meet him a few times. Eating burgers at the Student Union cafeteria and such.
+Randy Phillips So it was...
He was not an act. He did tell me about his dealings with Frank Zappa and their business falling out. A few years later I heard a song by Larry on Dr Demento show about that episode. I never heard it again and at that time I was a pretty regular listener to the good Dr.. Larry did not tell me about him throwing a toy at either Dwesile or Moon Unit. But it seems the fall out with Frank was going on before that incident. Larry was genuine. Had mental problems but damn it all, he made music his way and put him self out there for all the slings and arrows. Not like the rest of us chicken shits. If you can find that song it is just what Larry told me. After 45 years I can not remember the details.
He was not different when off stage. It was not an act. I find that the Laugh In segment was one of his more lucid moments. He was the first person I ever met that was schizophrenic and not knowing much if any thing about it back in those days was a real eye opener to this Idaho farm boy.
I like this. Dick Martin as a straight man really makes this work and Fisher's part is very creative.
He was like a Gong Show act, years before the Gong Show existed.
This guy and the Legendary Stardust Cowboy have gotta be two of the craziest acts to ever appear on prime time network TV.
Well, that about sums it up !
Amazing!
unbelieveable. wid man fisher has commercials
No I don't.
... you think he's a comedian or something?
I'd give up a tit to have seen Larry live. Esp because he did "The Leaves Are Falling."
Dick Martin's reaction is priceless.
Very funny. From his double album an Evening With Wild Man Fischer, one of my first LP's. Good stuff.
Legend
fuck
Insightful!
Yeah!! Narcy is my dude. Always lyrical superior. This is the first time I've heard Butta.
