Had to check out the new trail upgrades at Murphy-Hanrehan. Has a different type of flow but good change of pace. Yes, almost had a turkey.

E-flite Carbon-Z T-28 2.0m - Maiden flight
Coming up to that drop your first time can make you hesitate... then you're done for. Once you do it a few times it's simple though. Just gotta send it! Love the vid!
Great advice, thanks!
fake ass video this trail isnt where you clam there no trail thu bush from west lakes to marion fake fake and yet more fake just to get money
😂
Apply a little silicone grease to to top where it rubs.
friction- Mine squeaks when I open it but not close it so it is not a friction point like yours.
I just applied bar soap. Any waxy substance will stop it as well.
The lens has a big rubber O ring fitted in the groove inside The first few times off and on it's tight, but mine loosened up and got easier. It has to fit right or it won't be waterproof. So make sure you got it right, no gaps.
Sooo many crashes huh
Tuve el mismo problema. La primera vez cuesta muchísimo meterla, hasta llegué a pensar en usar una llave francesa pero al final no hizo falta. Eso sí, tanta fuerza que le di me quedo doliendo la mano y el antebrazo
How did you fix it. I have same problem
I had sent this unit in 2 times to Horizon Hobby and they fixed it. Happened again and they sent me 2 switches and I opened up and fixed myself. I now have a DX9, guess what happened? You got it, so wasn't just DX9 units. Having it happen 4 times on 2 units isn't accidental. Sounds like a design flaw. Hoping the internals are easier on the DX9 then DX6 because have to take it slow and remember what you unplug and unscrew but can be done.
Not bad for a maiden flight! I was shocked at how fast this thing was!
Clearly, your F22 was trying to tell you what was wrong with him...... Check your powerpod once again.... if you're using another plane's powerpod, they have unique thrust angles..... yours seems to be a little on the right side, rather than a perfect 0.... The FT22 amd the mighty mini series, both are good planes, that fly perfectly well I learnt to fly with elevon setting on the FT22 it had the best landing ever....
Yeah, I got it working. Just had to get battery in right spot and then enough throttle will make it fly pretty well.
@@lleemon that's nice
The gopro solution is to play dumb, deny anything is wrong, blame the user's 'workflow' - until eventually the lens mod and camera grind away at each other and it starts to seat properly. Thats what they did to me - I've lost a LOT of confidence in gopro.
Yeah, think if GoPro told the truth they too themselves would probably say they missed it on this one. They will learn from this.
Same here, GoPro has went down hill .... GP9 will be my last GoPro camera.
As mentioned in several other replies, I eventually got it to work with a little force, I think they will learn from this. Just sad we had to be the tester for them.
I think everyone had this issues. You just need to get a towel and put some force to turn it all the way - it is a bit of a hassle. You may struggle if you’re weak.
Has the same issue. I tried it from both sides. I had to grip it quite hard and it ended up twisting on tightly. The next time i tried it was easier. It’s because it is water proofed. 🤷🏼
Yeah, it works just not the 'GoPro easy first attempt' so use to.
USE THE FORCE YOUNG JEDI
same issue me to, i bought it at gopro store, but i noticed there is no a good worked area, i unscrew the 4 little torx screw, dremmelled a llittle bit te corner it wasnt come in, and now works perfect
Indeed hairrising but with courage and confidence received through comments below. I managed to get it on after turning several times CW and CCW and to much force to my liking. It makes a grindingnoise not good for my nurves. Mine whent on als well. (-:
I really think the issue is with the o-ring. It’s too thick. Probably with a tiny spot of grease. Had the same issue and about the fourth time it fit. Have not taken it off since!
You are a BAD pilot
Thank you!
@@lleemon sorry I didn’t mean to be so rude. Looks like your CG was off
@@ashers_workshop no worries
@@lleemon I'm making one too!
@@ashers_workshop Good luck with the build.
Every one who i saw with this issue, They were told to press into the lens then turn. Mine personally went on smooth. But I pressed and turned the 1st time.
You are correct, this the official info I received from GoPro.com, "This is the advised that i was able to get from my Team : The troubleshooting is to push the Max Lens Mod unit towards the body of the camera while turning it into place. This compresses the Lens a bit and will help it seat. You can use some force and try it a couple of times. "
Hi, not to worry, Ive had mine in Nov and faced the same. At first I thought it was a defect, but it isn’t after I read what other customers wrote and experienced the same. It took me about what it felt like 20 minutes, with really good force and attempts and after that it went in. Subsequent removing and installing again after it first fitted in are smoother and takes seconds only. The first fit however, was dreadful, but after success, life just becomes easier with it later. Unsure why GoPro made the first fit that hard... perhaps to let customers know that it’s a “virgin” unit, but that’s just simply unnecessary and created a pain point for customers who wants seamlessness.
Thanks, yeah, I finally got mine to work as well, just kind of have to push in while you turn it.
Hi, i encountered the same issue. May i know if you manage to solve?
Hi Edmund Yong, I still haven't resolved it but here is the official info I received from GoPro.com, "This is the advised that i was able to get from my Team : The troubleshooting is to push the Max Lens Mod unit towards the body of the camera while turning it into place. This compresses the Lens a bit and will help it seat. You can use some force and try it a couple of times. "
No way. You have to use your brain no hands only
I had the same issue then eventually it went on. However, after taking it off and putting the original lens back on the GoPro I feel like there’s a gap now that’s pretty big between the lens and the camera. I should have check how tight it was on before
Mine did the same, but went on fine after trying a few more times. It’s just a really tight fit
Thanks for the info. I have tried several time but feel like going to break it.
I had to use a lot of force on mine to clip on the first Time to
thats what she said
I just ordered one too and I have the same exact issue. this is frustrating... Edit: Gonna force it on, probably will work Edit: Finally got it, I was trying to turn it slowly but that didn't work so I loosened it. I started at 0 degrees and went to 90 degrees as fast as I could and it worked out surprisingly.
Thanks for the info. I just tried again but still no go for me. Glad you found a trick to yours.
I'm having the exact same issue on my new Anderson. What if any was the fix?
Ours is older but ended up just putting some bar of soap on the part it it rubbing. I think you could trim part of the wood so it won't so doesn't rub.
@@lleemon what was the part?
@@karenshadowens8802 It was rubbing on the top. On each side of the top, the part toward outside I kept pushing it back toward outside and also put some soap on the door and it stop make the noise.
My Favorite is the VW. HA!
Looks nice and very stable....mine drops without warning sometimes!
Yes, agree. Was temperamental. That is why I got rid of it. Had a lot of potential.
Sweet! Glad to see your having some fun.

3mph is not a wind, its a light breeze at best lol
Merriam-Webster has 'wind' as: a natural movement of air of any velocity.
@@lleemon maybe the dictionary definition, but in these here parts we call that a light breeze my friend 😎
Work with Dx6 ??
Yes, I did get it to work.
@@lleemon DX6 GEN3?
Yes DX6 G3
@@mrdrone1386 I have the DX6 G2 model
What goggle do you use?
At the time I was using the Fat Shark Dominator HD v2.
Ok thanks. Whats your current goggle then?
@@dirtaction6183 I just started using the Fat Shark HDO's. Only used a few times since I live in MN and the snow is now melted and fields are getting dry. Should have some video in the near future.
Great job and flight...built a few and flew them....fun
Agree, one of the most flown FT planes I have.
Weird. But I would suspect the ESC.
I'm thinking about doing the same thing with my new GoPro and was wondering how did it affect the T-28? With the T-28 being such a good flyer I don't think It will affect it at all.
Yeah, as long as CG stays the same you will be fine. Your correct it's a great flyer. I really don't use a GoPro anymore. I have been using Runcam 2 which is a little lighter and is close in quality.
wow good man
Good
Thrust of motor
hi this plane 30amp esc use? only 20amp esc use?
riyas fli training mkd all specs should be listed of what i used, i think its a 12 amp so 20 or 30 would work.
thanks i am use 30amp esc
you from?
I get most of my rc gear from Flite Test store.
Nice! I hope to start mine next week. I plan to use a 2212 13t 1000kv with a 10x4.5 prop. I hope that will work. I'm new to all this.
Sounds like should be fine. Enjoy, it's a really nice plane to fly.
I was just there😊
Good times.
You crashed yours but you had the chance to fly it, I crashed mine 3 secs after take off🤣🤣🤣
Oh, that's no fun. I have had several FT builds like that but only had 1 that never flew for more then 10 seconds. Keep at it, sometimes it took many attempts and changes to get it flying. Feel your pain when doesn't work as expected.
Lee Marshall actually i am a new pilot i have never flew any plane except on simulators
Ah, the FT-3D is a hard plane to begin with. I would try the FT Simple Storch which is a little bigger, or the FT Tiny Trainer which is fun and smaller. I build both thinking I wouldn't enjoy but they are some of my go-to planes.
Lee Marshall yes i printed out those easy to fly planes like cub ,storch and the explorer and i will try them with 3 channels without ailerons
I haven't done the cub, the FT Explorer I did 2 and I didn't have as good as success. FT TT and FT Simple Storch just seem to be really good flyers. I did ailerons on both which I think is easier. Good luck!
I finally did my Maiden today, I didn't do so good but the Spear performed as expected. I lost a NZ GPS in the process and front nose damage but an easy repair.
Derrick Mitchell nice, so are you using inav?
Lee Marshall Yes sir. Inav makes things a lol easier. I confused on how to subtrim though. I also notice that we have the same motor and esc, cool!
Do you have a video or picture of your setup? I have been interested in learning about iNav and thought the FT Spear would be a great frame to try it with but don't really understand how I would set it up and what equipment is good. Curious to see what you did.
Lee Marshall Ok, no problem. You got a email. here's mine derrickmitchell39.derrickmitchell39.dm@gmail.com
Hey, I left you a email. You can call me and I'll walk you through my set up on Inav. call anytime you like, I'm jobless lolol.
I just did the maiden flight of my Simple Scout on Saturday night. It flew great. I used the B motor package. I needed a 2200 mah battery to get the balance right. My prop and adapter fell off after 9 minutes of flying but I had a perfect landing. I even found my lost parts. Nice video and plane.
Thanks! I made two of these and the second one I used a 1550 battery and needed more weight up front, which I believe is because I didn't use as much paint. Not sure how you fit a 2200 in the nose, my 1550 just fits with no room. This is a nice flying plane!
Looks like you don't have any up elevator. Check you control rods and make sure you have even through up and down
RD-Mod-Garage 850 thanks for feedback. Ended up selling. Very delicate product.
