How To Garden
США
Добавлен 29 июл 2019
I am taking Gardening from just pretty flowers and for show, to functionality and sustainability. By giving you easy ways to propagate your plants; as well as, what to do with your harvest, you can expand your garden to its utmost potential. With using Organic Gardening and Permaculture you will be able to have just as beautiful and healthy of a garden as someone that uses Traditional Gardening techniques. Apart from plants, I will show you that you don't need lots of money to achieve beautiful gardens and what kind of resources are out there for anyone; garden or not, to use. Happy Gardening!

Planting Strawberries in Florida is in October not spring. Here they are a winter plant. The Florida summer will kill them every year and you will need to replant. Fallow along with me as I teach my children how to do it. Sorry about the sound I cleaned it up as much as I can.

Interesting tip. We stuck a bunch of cuttings in the ground about 4 weeks ago. Then came Hurricane Milton and made the area almost flood...and the cuttings are still green. How long does it usually take before you see roots?
Usually 3 to for weeks but O had it happen in a week
Nice Glen
Thanks Howie

Hello im up in Northwest Florida, it gets colder here. I have some seeds for straw berries, im going to check out qhen to plant them. I saw your mosiac virus video on your peppers, i think i got it on my peppers. I ordered the seeds from eBay, does it transfer in the seeds?
Yes it can transfer from seeds and soil. If it's from the seeds you need new seeds . You can treat the soil with boiling water to sanitize it. However spidermight can look the same. Try treating with dawn dish liquid. 1 tsp per gallon and spray plants. Make sure to get bottom of leaves
how much damage does it to do the plants over time?
Good info for those in Florida♦
You bet
Yup
Dead off the pallet and you didn’t stop if? That’s your fault
Not my job just a spectator. Had no say.
Looks like a good basic irrigation system. Might work well with my current low-pressure rainwater system.
It's a good little system. Not professional grade but definitely doable..
We get that here too

🤣
Interesting ❤
Glad you like it!
Hurricane clean-up can be tough, but it’s amazing to see the resilience and hard work that goes into restoring things after the storm. 💪🌪 It’s all about picking up the pieces, one step at a time, and making things better again. Stay safe and strong during the process! 🙏
Thanks! It's amazing how quickly nature can bounce back.
👍
Hurricanes are one thing that I don't miss about leaving Florida. 🌀
That one was different than most.
@@HowToGardenChannel We got hit by Charlie, Francis, and Wilma while living in Daytona Beach...not fun!
Sorry for all that damage. I’m glad y’all are ok though 🙏🏻
Everyone is fine. Been cleaning up and getting things settled
@@HowToGardenChannel glad to hear that. And hope y’all get everything back together soon and are able to rest for a couple days 😊
I'm so sorry 💔
Thanks
Sorry for your loss
Stay saf
That's a lot of work.
Enjoyed the chain saw over cutting by hand. It went much faster
I'm glad you're ok. It was really scary with those tornadoes before the hurricane milton.
The tornadoes were something else now. Had several in the area for a few hours
good cleanup☺
Thank you 😊
Noooo! I’m sorry this happened. Nothing like a good peach tree. ❤
I will replace it
Always sad when a fruit tree gets knocked down
I will replace it. Can't go without fresh peaches
I am sorry for your losses and grateful that you and your family are well. God will richly bless your gardens this coming year!
Thank you so much!
As long as you and t he family are OK thats what counts
Got some work to do
Dam i live in miami and just missed us
Y’all stay safe 🙏🏻
Looks like it's my turn now. Wind & rain all night. Just hope I don't see any of those tornadoes like I saw down your way earlier.
It's gotten very windy. But not really raining. Good luck
@@HowToGardenChannel Pretty mild all day but it really started picking up after landfall. I expect wind & rain all night and into tomorrow. Hopefully no twisters!
That’s what she said.
Stay safe
You got this!
So far so good
Prayers from SE Texas Bear :) 🙏❤️🙏
Thanks
😮👀🙏
👀!!! 🙏🙏
nice
Thanks
Mine is from a grocery store variety grown from seed and is about four years old. No blossoms yet but my asparagus has taught me some patience.
They take awhile but it's worth it
The property my Mom bought in Idaho had an old chicken coop with decades old chicken manure. I put a wheel barrow full of aged manure in each bed when I built her raised bed garden and her first year was great! When I get there next summer I will be side-dressing all the beds.
That is awesome!
Nice setup my friend. I hope this storm doesn't do you any damage.
I hope so too
Be safe this storm is throwing a lot of tornadoes
@@HowToGardenChannel That it is! I'm glad that feeder band moved off the coast, but it may wrap back near me as the storm comes ashore.
@geekygardens that band was rough hope it doesn't come back. Be safe
👍
This is great! Nature's fertilizer
Love this!!
Great Short 💯 thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
@@HowToGardenChannel no doubt 💯
