Why people in horror movies are always so stupid?

Now this is the type of horror that I crave for. No boring conversations, no unnecessary sound effects or over the top jump scares. Just pure chills and quality content.

At 1:10 you can see the quit deserted street in a very peaceful street and no traffic/car in sight. Nowhere! Clearly a slow speed neighbourhood and not a capital city or town center. How can the car driver NOT notice/see a man standing in the middle of the street. After the hit (and run too??) i stopped looking, thinking what more nonsense i have to watch here. I love a good horror but this was too absurd for me. 😞BYE!!
