I be going around some places along eastbournes sea front that hold memerable memorys and storys and fish at these locations ,
Todays video im starting the quest for a pb plaice as they appear ,
only one cought todaY so target species had .
Boy did i have to work hard along with whitting and dabs .
hard days fishing with crack offs wind knotts what else can go wrong lol . little bit of history about the redoubt fortress and a few laughs to be had enjoy....
There will be a musical version of this coming out too,

Hi and welcome to this video of when i stayed at cooden beach for a while and i kayaked out to the soverign tower, it was one of the things to cross of the bucket list before it disappears for ever , i was going out on the kayak a few time building up the strength and waiting for the right weather conditions to achieve this mission hope you enjoy

If you get the chance to get the Book , LONG DISTANCE CASTING , BY JOHN HOLDEN , this book will get you casting 200 yards, with just a little practice , your doing the overhead thump, which is only good for 30 to 50 yards, with the over head thump your just using your arms , when you read the book, it will show you how to use body rotation and the proper use of the arms, where you pull the rod through like a javelin pull down and flick over , it's nothing to do with your current rods and reels, it's all about your lack off casting technique, good luck.
John Holden has currently a set off casting video's on RUclips that will put you on the right track, but get the Book if possible, the two ,video and Book will help you enormously, Good Luck, JC.

Hiya Swampy, Nice Vid. Re: The multiplier. You've got to, 100% lose the level wind mechanism. If you remove the handle and side plates and take the cir-clip off the bar that the worm drive pushes into. Pull said shaft out and the level wind itself. Also, remove the white cog. Put it back together. Bingo... Another 30-40yds, on a cast. Also, get yourself a tube of high performance reel bearing oil (sewing machine works well). Clean the old muck off the bearings (clean them with a cloth kitchen paper, then use 99% IPA, (alcohol) to clean the last of the old oil away, add drop of new oil (literally a drop) on to the cleaned bearings. Reel will be as smooth as silk on the cast. I had the very same reel back in the 80's. I used to be able to hit 175yds on grass. Probably 150yds with bait when fishing. Makes so much difference. It's like chalk and cheese.

@@summerkirsty Hi, Is that the real at 15:00 mins in the vid? It looks like a small boat reel. I can't see it very well. If it is a boat reel, it is very unlikely to have brake blocks. Removing the level wind could make it un cast-able. The reel spool will be spinning faster than the line is being paid out. This will result in a birds nest, every cast. Either continue using as is. You could also consider picking up a Daiwa SL20SH (nicknamed the slosh). They are extremely cheap secondhand. Can be used on the beach and has an excellent retrieve speed for a multiplier. I fish the Bristol Channel mostly and being over mixed ground it performs very well indeed. It will, when cleaned and serviced cast ih excess of 100yds. I suspect much further than the real you using with the level wind.

My first decent multiplier was a Daiwa 6 HS like the one you have, That was in 1982 the year I left school, That dial with numbers on is just to center the spool, The numbers mean absolutely nothing , The spool speed is controlled by brake blocks . A magged reel would make life easier unless you're prepared to keep changing the brake blocks until you get it set up how you like it

Dont waste your time with a multiplier its a accident waiting to happen even the best casters get them modern fixed spool reels loaded with 80lb braid ( no shockleader required) you could cast a mile with no hassles !!! Shimano or penn good luck ps i forgot to mention you have a faster retrieve too over those snags and dont have to play with the line lay all day
@@jozsefronai9875 thank you for the advice,the braid on fixed spool iv yet to try . I have had aways used fixed spool reels , I use to think negative about the multiply reels and scared to use them, however i feel now about giving it a go just to challenge myself and learn the discipline of casting with such sorcery reels, it is a nice feeling of achievement when, and only when you successfully have a good session while using. I can see how the are very frustrating lol but hay only live once so worth a try, tight lines...
Sorry. I disagree with that comment. A half tuned multiplier will considerably outcast a fixed spool reel on every cast. physics says so. Less drag on a multiplier. Fixed spool have their advantages. When fishing rough ground etc. but, as a casting tool the multiplier wins every time.
Yeah right ? I can out cast a multiplier anyday with my shimano aerolex it's the rod not the reel and modern reels have a tapered spool for distance casting I still think multipliers are a thing of the past and out dated!!!!
@@jozsefronai9875Everyone is entitled to their opinion. The facts are…. Every field casting record has been with a multiplier reel. As I have previously mentioned it is all about physics. Line spooling from a fixed spool causes drag as it exits the spool. I’m sure Swampy is going to abandon his new reels to buy some fixed spools, just because you said they were crap. Give the guy some respect. You just don’t pick a multiplier reel up and cast it 150yds. It takes some practice and time. Hence the video, I suspect. Swampy. Stick at it, you’ll get there. Just keep practicing.
Ps you wont go wrong with that reel with practice bro take all the mags out and just play also get a sonic sport 14 foot two peace rod trust me bro😊
