1) Front office checks in pnts
2) Back office takes vitals
3) Medical students review chart. When ready, inform the floor manager and he/she will room you. Med students are allowed 20 minutes maximum to see pnts (preferably 15 min). The floor manager will knock at 10 min, 15 min, and 20 min.
4) Medical students will present to the preceptor. During this time, patient educators will talk to the pnt about diet and exercise.
5) When ready, inform the floor manager and he/she will room you (medical students + preceptor). Floor mangers won't knock (but try to keep it within 30 min).
6) IMPORTANT!: Medical students should hand the chart to the MA to photocopy (so she can work on filling prescription...
