You know, there were a myriad of things shifted my adolescence worldview from the idea that gay was something not spoken of in polite conversation to something I discuss and think about almost daily, but, genuinely, I think it was watching this episode of Nerdcubed's bully series that first began that shift. I didn't even know that 'Bi' was a thing when I watched this, and in only a few short years, my entire opinion and knowledge of the LGBT+ community had changed. More than that, Nerdcubed's content helped me in an unexpected way. I decided to participate in the nerdcubed community survey, and they asked one particular question that I nearly skipped. They asked if I was Straight, Gay, Bi, or Asexual, and gave definitions for each. I had never read the term Asexual before, but the definition was... incredibly familiar. I found out that I was Asexual from a survey question. As ridiculous as it sounds, I'm honestly glad that I found that piece of myself like that, without judgement or pity, just a question with a clear answer, once I understood what it was asking. I'm pretty sure that it was Mattophobia that wrote and ran that survey. I'm glad that he was thorough with his work.

The vox clip with the multiple screens was awesome editing! It warms my heart to see newcomers enjoy the show. I absolutely adore this show thus far but I agree with you on some criticisms. Yes, the musical numbers don't transition too seamlessly, and come on jarring. This works for Charlie because it's established in the pilot she's a Disney princess so abrupt singing and rainbows is normal for her - and to an extent, someone like Alastor - but not so much for the other characters. On that note, the first ep felt over stuffed; it had to catch up new viewers, as well as introduce the plot, and just crammed so much stuff in 23 minutes. I wish they had remastered the pilot into episode 1, and for episode 2 focused on Charlie's meeting with the angels, working on the new commercial, and planted some seeds for Charlie/Vaggie relationship because Vaggie's power duet with Carmine in ep 3 felt way out of left field.

Jodie was miscast. She lacks the personality and charisma required for the part. The writing was bad however, it could have even been elevated with a better portrayal. Jodie was the wrong choice.

Overall, aside from the weird ending to the Star Beast, the specials were generally just dumb fun even with some minor issues with casting or writing. Christmas special as well, despite its bad writing/story was just dumb fun and honestly that's all we can really ask, Doctor Who has never really made much sense if you scratch deeper than surface level anyway

Just think if 1-3 had Jodie teamed up with Donna instead of Tennent. It would have somewhat redeemed her era with a solid link to the past, no bi-generation and started Ncuti off a bit cleaner.

I kinda feel like Russel should have just started with Ncuti's Doctor instead of bringing David back as a buffer of sorts. Regarding of my feelings on Chibnall's Era I like the 13th Doctor but felt she needed better show runner. Her last words "Tag your it" feel like it was meant for Ncuti not David's doctor because he's a continuation not a few steps back. I like David Tennet, it was nice to see him again but I'm ready for something new and different. For me I'm mixed on the specials. Star Beast was alright, it's mostly alright and is really a Doctor and Donna meet again story. Wild Blue Yonder was a Midnight Remix episode and like the acknowledgement of the Timeless Child and Flux moment, it's pocket horror episode that doesn't quite feel like special and more like a regular episode. The Giggle was fun mostly because of Neil Patrick Harris' Toy Maker performance. I'm not against the bi-generation concept I just feel weird about having two Doctors and Two Tardis' now. The Christmas special I like because of the dynamic between the Doctor and Ruby. The Goblins I didn't care for much . Overall this didn't feel like 60th anniversary specials were well specials, it was familiar Doctor Who from familiar show runner. I really like the 15th Doctor and Ruby and look forward to seeing more of them.

All were incredibly poor, especially Ruby Road. I've been a fan for over 40 years, but they've lost me now forever. Good luck with the young fans they're chasing.

Star beast was Russel t Davies at his worst it’s no secret that as years went on he’s been less and less favorable twords men his downright toxic writing twords the doctor and men in general at the end of the episode ruined an otherwise decent adventure

I think Star Beast was quite weak, especially with thay forced ending that barely made any sense. Wild Blue Yonder was an amazing episode of Doctor Who, as good as some of my faves, but i didnt lile thr race swapped isaac newton. The Giggle was a lot better on rewatch and once you understand what the bigeneration actually is without being confused i liked it. The Christmas special was pretty basic and on first watch i didnt really like it but after a few more viewings i find it really fun and i like the way the new doctor and the new companion vibe off each other.

Star Beast Was ruined by the end where the episode started being toxic towards men for no reason at all. Blue Yonder was ruined by the fact that they race swapped Isaac Newton The Giggle was ruined because of Bi-generation (massive retcon) and Tardis getting a copy in such a dumb way.

The thing about being a fan is that you actually care about what you are a fan of. The suggestion to watch a "Captain Planet" episode to see if you are as outraged about what they got in that one as you would be if it was an episode of Doctor Who is utterly ludicrous. Unless you are an equal fan of both, OF COURSE you are not going to be as outraged! I might as well say, if you love Pizza, you MUST love Sauerkraut in equal fashion. Where the specials are concerned... i was somewhat disappointed but that i think is because i was expecting too much. I will have to see them again one of these days.
