If you enjoyed this animation, check out some of his other works! Tokyo Godfathers are by far his most wholesome movie, though. The rest are very good, but with some disturbing themes. I highly recommend "Paprika", which was the inspiration to Christipher Nolans "Inception"! The animation is WILD.

This whole show is a love story about Okarun and Momo. DanDaDan is a romantic comedy dressed as a battle anime. Even the first episode is called "That's how love starts". And it still took Okarun 11 episodes to realize he is in love. lol

This show has done a lot of effective world building with about an hour of total content

A bit more of detail that I think you missed with the flashback: She is a single mother. She was a dancer, but once she got pregnant she had to quit. She has at least _three_ jobs, not two. The flashback opens with her in a bed in a hotel, room key and cash on the nightstand. We see the hotel nightstand a couple more times to remind us. She takes the money for that dress out of an envelope. That envelope is money that she owes. For what specifically, we don't know. It could very well be the earnings from that other job. In a blink or you'll miss it moment, the debt collectors who take her daughter also take the envelope with the money. They were originally there for the money. But because she bought the dress, she was short, so they took her daughter. The ballet on the roof, that is an extension of a scene in the manga where she dances before taking a final leap off. The thud at the end of that scene is her body connecting with the concrete. That's when she dies. Later, her spirit has been wandering for a long time. She's lost and confused. She knows she's missing something, she just doesn't know what. Aira, a little girl who recently lost her own mother, sees the spirit and mistakes her for her mother. She's close to the same age as Acro Silky's daughter was, and it jogs the spirit's memory. She knows she's missing her child. Because she's been so lost and confused, she convinces herself that this little girl who saw her is her child. Once she decides to become a protector of this child, that's when she becomes a yokai. As your other commenter noted, Aira is _not_ her daughter. Many people all over the world in varying cultures believe the very young and the very old are able to see spirits. That is the thinking that goes with Aira being able to see this woman. Her father clearly doesn't.

All around good reaction but I think you got a bit confused at the end and were unable to untangle yourselves. Acrobatic Silkie had a daughter that she lost, and Aira had a mother that she lost which we got to see in a casket. In a spiritual sense they could be considered surrogate mother and daughter because she finally got to save her "daughter" from death. If you're wondering about the father, he can briefly be seen in the montage of photographs that pass by for a frame. His daughter looks more like him than she does her mother.

Apparently, every genre that creates a transformer franchise follows the pattern of killing Optimus prime. Optimus is my number one favorite auto bot of all time besides Ironhide, whom I absolutely love alongside with the rest of the auto bots. I really wish they stopped following the pattern of Optimus prime death I’m completely over it now.

Hey... Nice reaction btw I think you should give some credit to ikemoto. In latest interview, all those chapter even starting from Boruto NNG + Boruto TBV from Ikemoto's idea. Kishimoto just supervisor and give direction to him. Ikemoto change the direction of story and make his own. For Sarada outfit. I really don't like seeing Optimus die in any incarnation. He's my #1 favorite Autobot/Transformer, but damn if he didn't have a really great final fight against Megatron. Also....The universal greeting is understood by most creatures in the galaxy. It can be roughly translated to "Hello, we mean you no harm," or "We come in peace," or "Do you hate dirtwad Decepticons as much as we do?"
