damn this needs more views.
This is the worst way to get bitches
Could I use this footage for a RUclips video on vernal pools? Great footage!!!
Sounds like a fart
Very interesting. I'm here because of the legend of Henry I. I had no clue what a lamprey was. thank you.
This was really helpful
Although I have read and studied lampreys for 5 years, I love to watch lamprey-videos again and again. Lampreys are so interesting, amazing and I think cute animals. And they can smile :D Amazing video of lampreys!! and the final words lovely fullfill the story.

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to have cingulatum hatching in spoons as I transferred eggs to water to simulate inundation. Very cool to see the footage you got. I’m assuming that is from some mesocosm setup, right?
Yeah, I'm working with FWC headstarting them and we set some eggs aside to hatch out and film in an aquarium before adding them to a mesocosm.
Keep it up
You seem to have a deep fascination of the animal kingdom, and I find that extremely interesting
You popped up on my recommendations. I've never seen RUclips promote such small channels before. You've earned a sub!
Awesome video
Wow. Beautiful! And calming.
Neat capture, thanks for sharing!!
Excellent capture of a rarely seen moment in one of my favorite snake's lives!
Wow, this was such a great video! You explained things extremely well and had great footage. We need more content like this to allow people to understand snakes more. Keep up the great work.
Gosh, those orange theoat darters are like the villains of the streams
Dude, this is awesome!! Who knew lampreys were so cool?
I'm impressed at the wide range of b-roll footage and species diversity in the video, great job on this one! The only very common snake defense I would've added is musking, especially in non-venomous species like garters and nerodias
Thanks! Yeah, I did initially want to include musking and probably should have, but didn't have any footage of it. But, I also geared this a little bit more towards people that are unfamiliar with snakes and what they might see if they approach a wild snake. Since the average person is not likely to grab and handle it, they are less likely to experience musking.
Very cool footage, great video.
Really cool video. That endoscope reminds me of what they used to find the Horridus dens in Indiana.
Thanks! I've not actually heard of that, they stuck endoscopes down snake dens?
ThatAnimalGuy Yeah! In brown county they den in rodent burrows, so to look at them they used endoscope.
I don't know if I'd call that a "gentle croon"...
Bowww!
Top notch work as always
Awesome video! I learned some new things. Lol
what about cobra hoods
I should have specified more that this video mostly pertains to North America-though much of it applies to snakes as a whole worldwide.
