Just my opinion, but you're far better off with the landing lights OFF during the approach. This enables you to pick up the approach lighting system sooner. And, get your eyes adjusted to the depth in front of you and helps you quickly make sense of what you're looking at. The guy not flying then flips the lights on once you have good visual contact. But, to each their own.
Bello video l único la música q pensé q hablarías saludos desde California USA 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸de tibas Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Please tell me that this is fake... They don't actually do this, right? I am freaking out thinking that this is how we land at night or in fog. Maybe it is my "girl brain" but I am actually shaking thinking that this is real. Why are they not screaming as they are about to crash into anything - mountains, trees, buildings what the hell.. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS and why is this even allowed. They just gambled away the lives of everyone on the plane. This is a computer video or something??
Considering I've seen you make this exact comment on more than 1 video, you should seek therapy.
0:25
definitely not cat 3 mins. Could see approach lights at 200 feet. Cat 1 approach you can continue approach to 100 feet if you see the approach lights at 200 feet then at 100 feet need to see runway or red sidebar lights on the approach light system. Actual cat 3 mins you see nothing until just before touchdown. I've done a few cat 3 with 75 meters of visibility. There is no DH. Just need the visibility.
lights were visible at 400 ft.....so this is actually CAT I
Imagine seeing a mountain throw these clouds
Always had the nose wheel and wing lights off during LVP as they dazzle and the point is to get reference. It's common sense over dogma.
I´ve had that experience on 16th of dec 2022 on flight EW 9558, TFS to DUS, arriving at 5:20 p.m. The captain told to passengers already 1 hour before landing about a difficult landing because of extreme bad weather situation in DUS. My seat in A320 was Window 9A. 2 minutes before landing the aircraft was diving into the clouds - I could see landinglights exactly in the moment the aircraft touched the ground - for me amazing. Reducing of speed was normal. At all moments of this approach I felt safe. Thank You to the very good crew!
Power of engineering and engineers . Pilots are one of the super heroes who fly such a big beast on air safely .
Does the pilot flare on the retard like normal or does the aircraft do it all
When I was very young, and taking lessons at Melbourne, Florida. My instructor would put me under the hood a give me a simulated "Ground Control Approach". Pulling off the hood at about 100 feet. I was 19 years old, and it was 1970.
Minimus at 30 feet.....WOW
Pilots can see in 1080.
Why we need pilots anymore??
1:40 is that the sound when the autopilot disconnect?
Yes, they probably did an auto land considering how bad the weather conditions were and they are probably still required to disconnect it after landing, unless the plane does it itself. I don't know enough about the Airbus auto land system and looking at this on my phone, it's hard to tell since it's dark and low resolution.
It auto disengages just before landing @@unr3alGaming
Minimum at 20 feets ?? Wowwww
Top tier. This video is also great to demonstrate the "clicks" after the autopilot disconnect sound - there are none as the plane has already landed.
Brilliant absolutely incredible.
I think the landing lights should have been kept off for the pilots to be able to see any reference on ground before Decision Height. With the lights on, it is all the more difficult to spot for any irregularities in visual reference. After having confirmed any runway lights / approach / papi / airport lights, they could turn on landing lights. And hats off to the ils and autoland technology and of course the skills of these braveheart brainy pilots.
WOW ! ! ! ! ! WHAT ELSE CAN YOU SAY?????????
cal iiib down to 22ft with published DA :D
The calm of the GPWS voice opposed to the nightmare view outside of the cockpit, to me is just haunting 😣
The plane is correct in calling them a retard. I would be pooping my pants. 😁
😰😰wow
Think I would have turned that nose gear light off.
Дрочилы автопилотные
Great video! Brings back memories when I had my first flip phone!!!! 240p? seriously?
CAT-IIIb
Amazing
O loco
That was a very nice cat 3. Great video
凄い濃霧着陸ですね。
That's the pay check right there!
What is it the airport ?? Please
not even sure why they need pilots, they only fly on takeoff and when they're landing. pilots spend their flight monitoring systems, turning dials for air speed, heading and checking in with various air traffic controllers. a computer can do all of that and more. i would have no problem flying in a plane that was flown by a computer.
boombapboom The pilots operate the computer when they can't fly, but when they can fly they do. A computer has no clue what to do in an emergency and in addition they're subject to glitches and instrument malfunctions. Think about this: if one instrument on the airplane goes out, or one line of code is wrong, several hundred, maybe thousand people die.
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn
woops, have high tension upto above 100
isnt the continue warning too late? just before the 20 FT above the ground?
Holy fuck
Bfffffjsnksnkxbkaxb increible
Windows no needed :)
i don't know what's worse. landing at zero visibility or 240p? ;-)

you can land with ils but 240p is forever
what does 240 p mean ?

That's not very nice Mr. Airplane. Don't call them retards.

Why is the computer calling the pilots retards @ 1:28 ?
BooR1N9 the redards why its the signal for the pilot pull thorthlle at idle
why not using strong green laser beam? its perfect trough fog
Termigator A laser beam is a.... well.... a beam... a narrow beam... meaning you can only see it if it penetrated the fog and shines in your eyes. You wouldn't be able to see if from the side, over or under. Meaning you would already have to be on the perfect path to see it. So how exactly do you get on the perfect path in the first place? And if can manage to get on the perfect glide path without the beam; why do you need the freeking beam at all?
dimbulb23 You dont have to point at in their fucking cornea. 3-5 km away from airplane to the sides . Smartass
Termigator Lol are you just trolling or what? You can't have it 3-5km from the sides, YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO SEE IT. It has to be pointing right near you, which is blinding. Your idea fails, accept it
They are not going to use your toy laser pointer.
Termigator it's a good idea
