Just moved here last Saturday. This video was very helpful, since I don’t know my way around yet. Need to visit Rouse’s and Target, both of which featured here. He also took us to the lovely Fresh Market, which I visited yesterday. Even went to Whole Foods. I’m so excited about living in Mandeville!

No...I'm moving to nearby Biloxi Mississippi or Pensacola Florida. Haven't decided yet. But I will be visiting New Orleans end of May 2025.

I'm thinking of moving to the area from southern California. Houses in California are averaging about $1.2 million for a small 3 bedroom of 1,200 sq feet and the privilege of spending hours fighting the unbearable traffic every day. But at least California, with few exceptions, has houses built on lots that are larger than the structure on which they're built. Every house has at least a two car garage and driveway. That doesn't seem to be the case in New Orleans, the car theft capital of the world where everyone has to park on the street. It's an absolute disgrace that the lots in New Orleans are so small that there are no driveways and no distance between houses. For me, its an extremely important issue. But Metairie seems to have land, front and back yards associated with most homes making it far, far, a thousand times better than New Orleans.

I lived there 40 years, almost a year in Tampa and i feel the opportunities for my children are way more here. Its not all dreary and just a breath of fresh air here. New Orleans will always have a special place in my heart but such a dead end feel there.

Well, that was about 10% of Hammond.

I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

I genuinely like your use of upbeat music to cover up the blight affecting the real estate there. I was also hoping you'd make a case for moving into the area as opposed to neighboring towns. Sadly, those shots of the downtown make Slidell look like Las Vegas.

If your from California don’t move here, almost everybody down here thinks people in California are democrats and satanic ( as quoted from half of Gonzales Louisiana) plus don’t move to Baton Rouge or you most likely will end up in the hospital with gun shot wounds or stab wounds. Almost every night someone gets killed in north baton rouge

Dont Do it! Louisiana is the Worst state and Last in everything poor man’s Paradise. If you’re a loser and you just wanna float through life then loserana is your place! Don’t ever compare CA to Louisiana. There’s nothing in Louisiana. The people are so rude and selfish in louisiana( dudes ah clown he said the people are friendly in Louisiana BS!!)

I love Don’s seafood. I am glad to know that there are still locations opened in Louisiana! That’s one of the things on my bucket list.
