damn ....I was told their economy is collapsing, slave pay, over population of old people, unemployed youth......but damn no homeless, vandals, or punk wandering the nights.
The economy has somewhat slowed down, but they are still thriving still building new apartment blocks and businesses, as for [over population of old people] for me it speaks a lot towards their lifespan as human beings, most of these old people are still healthy walking around without walking sticks some are still able to cut the lawn or sell street food like they are old but still able to do a lot by themselves.

I guess if one is diligent about their shopping then coin can really go far. Do you notice a lot of difference in price in cost of living between Hefei and Chengdu?

Trust me the cost of living is pretty high down there in China. I am also learning that Chinese yen's value is something close to the American dollars.
Thanks for the comment, but I disagree with you my brother US dollar equals R18,61 and it equals 7,18 yuan and the Chinese yuan or Rmb is R2,59 so the Chinese yuan is closer to the Rand than the dollar as for the cost of living compare those items on my small grocery list with the one back home. I'll be relocating to other city I will post a longer video including the apartment costs electricity and water and a month's grocery.

Wow... you live in such a cool community. I really like the various amenities in the complex, it looks like you have all you need right outside your door. Can't wait to see how you celebrate Chinese New Year in Chengdu. Please show us how you go about daily life activities in Chengdu, like how you do shopping at the local mall, comparing prices with those in SA, how you get water for your home, or even going to local food markets to ask the vendors what things are called... in mandarin, since we are all learning the language 😅.
