So I'm confused, what exactly did Ned do? I've tried looking it up and all I found was an affair. Is that seriously it? Surely there must be something more scandalous going on with him to bring on this kind of behavior.

It was who he cheated with that is important. He cheated on his wife with a producer of the show which created HR issues and later PR issues. All people involved (including his wife) were fairly public and visible on the try guys channel. In the videos Ned is characterized as a good husband and always dedicates dishes to his wife and talks about how good of a husband and father he is. Many people in the try guys community looked up to this ideal because they wanted to believe those things. Then the news broke, many fans are hurt because of the lack of morals displayed by this man. i.e. cheating on his wife in the workplace while also pretending to be a great husband to the public.

@@Tiny_Koi Yeah...that puts these guys in a bad light to me. If I was in Ned's position I'd hope these friends/business partners I've had for many years allowed me to explain myself, and gave me a chance at redemption. From what I'm reading online, they just threw him out, and then I can't find much about what Ned does now for a living (is he even still employed somewhere?) Not to mention from what I'm seeing online, Ned and his wife are somehow still together. Clearly I'm missing something, because if things were as dire as you were depicting they just wouldn't be. Then again, I admit I know little about his wife, I don't even remember seeing her in any of the vids (definitely remember Ned mentioning her though).

@@gligarguy4010 they have 2 toddler aged children together. Just because Ariel decided to try and salvage the marriage for the kids it doesn't mean what he did wasn't serious; workplace relationships involving a power imbalance (not only Ned was one of the company's bosses, he was specifically also head of HR) are against guidelines. Ned put the whole company at risk, endangering the livelihood of tens of people, including the other Try Guys. So much for a "friend"!

I feel like your comment was missing some important words, making it kinda incoherent 🤨 And now that Yang is leaving too, the channel has basically collapsed, losing its other great member. Ned’s entire experience of his relationship is performative, and it’s because he literally proposed as a trauma reaction. In a Buzzfeed video he talks about the beginning of his relationship with Ariel, and he thinks he’s telling a romantic story when he’s just fully describing acting impulsively after a near-death experience. They started dating when Ned was in his early 20s and shortly after he had a major health scare and less than a week later he was at work and suddenly realized he could just die at any moment, so he left work in the middle of his shift to buy a ring and get a haircut, and showed up at Ariel’s work and immediately proposed. Obviously, the rest of his marriage is going to feel emotionally lacking from his end because he proposed when his feelings of love for Ariel were tightly wrapped up in trauma-induced feelings about his mortality. He didn’t propose because he actually loved and understood Ariel that much, he proposed because he’s a selfish frat boy with an immortality complex who had a crisis about potentially dying young and alone. It’s literally been observed in psychology studies that immediately following a near death experience people experience heightened love and compassion for those in their life. Also, I will never get over him making crayons for Wes as a Valentine’s gift for Ariel. When she took them out of the bag and got so excited thinking Ned had made her DIY soap? Heartbreaking. She was so excited for him to do something thoughtful for her. And instead he goes on the company podcast where all the other guys hype up their partners, and he just complains about her cleaning up after him. What a worthless spouse.

So I looked up what happened. He cheated. That's it, that's the whole story. And that was enough to get him fired and apparently blacklisted by fans. Also considering him and his wife are still together means they likely moved past it. So what the fuck is wrong with you all? Try Guys and you "fans" all acted like this MFer beat his kids or some shit but all he did was get a little strange and then work through it with his wife? Are y'all such no life losers that you have to para socially stalk and get wrapped up in some dudes dicking down that you literally get him fired to maintain a brand image? Jesus Christ y'all need therapy and some friends.

All the guys (and their partners and families) were pretty close, and Ned's wife Ariel was actually part of the company and a good friend to all the guys, as well. The other woman was an employee, and Ned's relationship with her put the entire company at risk of a lawsuit, if she ever decided to say he pressured her into the relationship, because he was both her boss, and the head of HR. It was a huge ethical and legal issue--the rest of the Try Guys have the right to be upset both on a professional, and personal level.

    • @autumnthealien2170

He put his marriage on the line to get with someone, which could’ve massively altered the lives of not only his wife, but his kids, too. He acted selfishly and without forethought for anyone else’s emotions. That’s not only rude, it can be indicative of a larger mental disorder that limits his ability to empathize. If you see that someone cheated and got hate for it and your response is “what’s the big deal, all he did was cheat”, you should re-evaluate your priorities and how you think of others when making a decision, or maybe just not be in a relationship.
