40 Years of Round Baling in Ireland
An insight into how round baling in Ireland has progressed over the last 40 years since it's introduction in 1982. This video contains footage of one of the first belt balers to work in Ireland as well as some of the latest technology in the form of a combi baler. It also shows the progression to a later model John Deere belt baler and also a McHale baler with rollers. The advancements in how the round bales were ensiled is also visible from the very first bale bags to the wrap that is more commonly seen today.

That's awesome. Balings always been my favourite job, when nothing goes wrong that it lol. We use a 235 vicon and a 3135 kombi Kuhn.

Nice silage outfit and no big repayments
A Prayer for the poor soul having to not only push up slage with a Telescopic...but a rear steer. May the lord have mercy on his soul...his penance on earth is served lol. Great to see this older gear putting in a days graft. Just want to add, your editing is razor sharp. Good stuff.

Yes it was an upgrade from the original one that would have came on the harvester

How well was the grass chopped lifting pre cut grass,what width of row was lifting?
How did it compare bales per hour against the McHale fusion in the nxt field. Are they both from same outfit
The Fastbale was only out on demo so it wouldn’t have been putting out as many bales as the fusion that was already set up
