I have a fairly complex cutout I need to do through Vcarve on my CNC machine, when I import the file into the program, all the lines change to black and I have to try select them individually to able to assign different cutting instructions to it. I have made every group a different colour in Illustrator but when it imports into Vcarve, it changes it all to black and ungroups it. Is there a way to sort this out?
I am in the middle of doing onsite training.
It sounds like you need to join some vectors.
Would need to see your VCarve file.
Well, now that you mention it, yes. Vectric seems to have abandoned their in-house forum, so there's no way to pose questions about how Vcarve Pro works. I've sent several requests over the past few days, but there's been no reply. Maybe they should set up an AI chatbot somewhere.
That is interesting. I dont have the pro or aspire just the desktop version but it gives me ideas if I upgrade.
Very clearly presented, and I learned a lot. Thank You.
There is so much information in this tutorial that you will use daily and saves you ton's of time. I believe all new users should view this about 10 times or five times as you practice along with the video. Thanks Brett. I found it never hurts to review it from time to time.
Wow this video is exactly what I wanted to learn and it was extremely informative and well made :-) Thank you.
Great tutorial thanks
Thanks for all the how to details, only one suggestion, if you could make the cursor larger it would be easier to follow, frequently I lost it and had to back up and find the cursor.
Thanks Working on some more will take your suggestion
i want relif file
Sundaram, if you have the more recent VCarve Pro or Aspire software, this 3D clipart comes with it.
You explained so much so well - thanks
Great! Thank you!
What helps me; when mistakes were made and then we saw how to correct them.
Thanks for the video! I'm just getting in to cnc and that part about the filet tool helped out
WOW, awesome video, so so very informative, thank you sir. I really appreciate the work you put into this and your willing to share your knowledge, BRAVO !
How do you circular array if the array center is not in the stock center? How do you find a rotation center coordinate if it is notin 0,0?
You can enter the coordinates for you rotation center at any place in your material. A circle within a circle will appear where the center the center of your array will be placed.
@@brettdickinson7708 Is there any easy way to find a coordinate of a point by selecting it? Looks like there is no other way to select an existing point without knowing its coordinate...
@@fathmi Just create a small circle and place it where you want. In the Draw Circle dialogue box it will show its center point. You can write down those coordinates and enter them into the Rotation Center boxes of the Circular Copy dialogue box.
for this style clock you made do you have the link for the clockwork you used for this exact clock. having trouble finding it myself.
I usually get my clock components from www.klockit.com/ or you can also find items on Amazon or at Woodcraft.
Excellent information, this was a very helpful. You do a great job step by step.
How did you move the small rectangle box over? Sounds like you were using the space bar but I can't get mine to do that
i was probably using the arrow keys.
@@brettdickinson7708 thank you
thanks! I'm going to make one!
Hi can you make another video to explain how to make cutting sheet view from this pls. I have to apologize! I'm just about start learning that kind of thinks !
Istvan, I am very busy doing onsite setups and training the next three weeks. I am not quite clear what you are asking. Are you asking how you can label, print and save 3D views so you can use them to provide instructions for yourself and others?
@@brettdickinson7708 Not really! so i would like find out if i make a same thinks like you did in here, how i make a cutting list from it ? like side size=X, then self size=X etc... I hope now you understand me, sorry for a language in talking i can explan but in writting is hard is not my mother tongue... and when you do the actual toolphats for it how is works in order... :D
Great video! Just what I was looking for. Thank you!
This was so helpful Thank you 🙏
Thank You!
watch on 1.5x or 1.75x speed
Site 3dmodelmania.com with STL models.
How did you retain the wood to make the side cut (1.5"). What method of retention did you use?
Sorry for not getting back with you. I cut out a jig to hold the wood, make screw spots and use pocket screws.
Hi just watched this video and learned some more things about vcarve pro. I have a question when making and placing the arrows ,you had some part of it selected but you want one of them deselected could you tell me how you did that I have seen that used in a lot of videos but can't see how it is done Thanks Jeff
I went back and listened again and saw wht you said and did .So do you have more vcarve videos. Jeff
@@resorter66 Jeff, sorry for not getting back with you. You hold down the Shift key and left mouse click on the object you want to deselect. There are some more tutorials in the works.
Sorry for not getting back sooner. If you have items that are grouped, you need to ungroup them first by pressing the U key (G = group, U = ungroup). If you drag your mouse from right to left, anything that you touch will be selected. If you select too many items, you can unselect the ones you don't want selected by holding down the Shift Key while at the same time clicking those items with your mouse pointer on the items you want to unselect.
This was very informative. Just what I was looking for. Thank You.
Wonderful... thank you my friend
Love to try your exercise , would you mind adding your original file to follow along? thanks!
Hello, nice and well explained video, i have a question, this Vcarve pro 8, it seems to ha a small area to work, which os the biggest área to do the job using Vcarve pro ?? Thanks
Дерьмо а не резьба
I take the same eagle and get a message , the composite model is empty. You must have a 3d model before attempting to create a 3D model. I'm using same clip art in V9 of vcarve pro and stuck here... What do I have to do to get it to work? What am I missing... Thanks
Sorry for not getting back sooner. When you purchase VCarve Pro 8 for above, you get 10 sets of clipart with 9 of them being 3D clipart models. After installing VCarve Pro 8 or above (or Aspire), you must run the executable files for each group of clipart. They should then automatically appear in your Clipart tab when you click on Clipart.
This tutorial is amazing - I've struggled for 2 years to understand this - can you PLEASE do more! thank you
More are on the way. Posted two more today.
where did you get your clipart and how to I get it to the clipart folder? thx
Starting with VCarve Pro 8, there is a lot of 3D clipart that comes free; just click on the Clipart tab at the bottom; if you want to get 2d clipart, you can import a bitmap graphic and use the Bitmap Trace tool to convert to vector
