Great rock drummer!
Very good interview! Thank you for sharing. I took a date to see the Raspberries in Augusta, GA. in the early 70's. She was a great looking gal. Asked her out, took her to dinner at a place called T's and then to the concert at the Bell Auditorium. When we got there she took off with some girls friends running around acting silly before the show started. When caught up with her and told her we were leaving before the show. I returned her to her Father. I told him, Sir, your daughter is too immature to take out. She was shocked, He was impressed with me and thankful I didn't leave her. Never had the opportunity to see them again.
What a band...saw them live 1972 Syracuse NY. Saw them do the sound check What a band
Which jeff Smith is this?
!Que bueno¡ Saber mucho más acerca de la legendaria banda "The Raspberries". Ellos editaron un vinyl que traía aroma incluido. Eso fue en los maravillosos '70. !Que recuerdos¡
Great stuff !!! THANK YOU FOR POSTING.
The Raspberries are an example of the kind of people who deserved to have a recording contract. They had exceptional talent and wrote songs that were so musically incredible that nothing since can compare to it. I've noticed something about the music today. There is no way people today can compete alone rival the world class talent of that time so instead of closing down the studios for lack of talent they decided to pull the music standard down to their own mediocre level. That is the tragedy of the music scene today. World class musicians, song writers and performers have been replaced with talent mocking buffoons! You don't even hear melodies of any kind on the radio today. It's just a rancor sound that drowns out the memory of great melodies of the past. Furthermore the real insult is that these music dropouts are not fit to share the same airwaves that the great musicians of the past occupied. It's a mockery and an insult to what real music is and great pretending to what a real recording artist is. Then the rap, hip hop etc. Well lets just say I better not go there cause my words on that would peel the paint of f the wall!
Great interview & great new tune.
What a great interview, and the new song sounds awesome! :)
Awesome!!! Nice work Jim, and Go Ride! Let it rock Jeff Soukup~
