If you liked this movie I highly, highly, highly, recommend you watch the 1972 version called “Dillinger” way more gun fights, though not as realistic as Michael Mann’s version, but very pervasive.

at 1:10, from about 80 yards away (73 meters), with an M1921 Thompson SMG chambered in .45 ACP, he strafes and kills a motorcycle cop? And through the Bank's glass windows? I don't think so. F**king Hollyweird. With a BAR, -.30-06, it would still be a tough shot. He'd have better luck with 2 rounds, with a 'scoped 1903 Springfield in .30-06. Much more believable.

And they compare this masterpiece with Gangster Squad in realism and action. Don’t get me wrong, the latter is a good action flick but Public Enemy wins it for me.

0:16 can someone tell me what in the world is this Aston, looks like a DB9, 52 plate (2002 model year) which is not DB9 nor is it DBS (unless it's a private plate), and the plate comes back as Aston Martin (no model) 6L engine

I think it really says something about the safety measures of that particular Aston Martin when it outright refused to coordinate with the intentional crash. Too bad we never gave one of those to Richard Hammond.

So refreshing to see Tommys with 20 round stick mags. Drum mags feel so overused. Stick mags had advantages too.

The gunshots are so real. This movie is a classic. Underrated. Johnny Depp & the guys actually took extensive gun training/courses. Those Thompsons are something to behold. 💥
