I have one of those, but the bellows are gone. Yours is beautiful.
Where can a person find the film?
I wish to have this in my collection.
I finally own one of these. It's missing the back and front doors, but making replacements will be easy to do. 😺
I recently acquired one of these also with a few missing pieces. Do you have any hints for constructing replacement parts or restoring the deteriorating leather?
I inherited one from my aunt after she passed. It is a "No. 3A folding pocket kodak model b-5" S/N 26486" that was made in Toronto, Canada. I have been trying to figure out when it was made and which location in Toronto that it was made in? Any site that you can direct me to to answer my question? Thanx!

I will have to look it up when it was made. Maybe I can also find the location. I'll look into it one of the next days.
The 3A FPK model B5 was made between April 1909 and January 1912. Here you can find some information on the Toronto Kodak site: library.ryerson.ca/asc/2015/01/kodak-in-toronto-1899-2005-a-century-of-traces/

I have a couple, second just arrived today! First one was a working red leather 1895 model and the second is a 1896 back coarser grain one, not working by now, but looks repairable. It only lacks the sector shutter main spring. And 2 good thinks about this 2nd camera: it has a wonderful retailer plaquette showing it was sold in El Siglo department store, in Les Rambles, Barcelona. And it has both 102 spools. WICH MEANS I could now use both cameras (or at least one), improvising a 102 roll film with backing paper & 35mm film.
what does a photo taken by it look like?
I own one of these; the Model B.. No viewfinder or winding key, but I can have replacements made. What was surprising was how small it is for such an important camera - the size of the box tea bags or butter is sold in.
Very interesting!
Raw beauty. Hartelijk bedankt.
Hi, Thank you for this movie. I use it on my page : www.collection-appareils.fr/x/html/appareil-7857-Kodak_No.%203%20Kodet.html to show how this rare camera is made.
I now own one of these. I'm hoping to figure out how to get glass plates into it using the door at the back.
I just purchased one of these, known as a No.2 Flexo Kodak in North America. I'm becoming a huge fan of 1890-1910 Kodak cameras. You're videos are wonderful - I use them to determine if I should buy antique Kodaks and other cameras.
Hi there, do you have a manual for stereo brownie no.2?
I just bought one of these. I plan to make it work, to take pictures - 120 years after it was made!
I have this but its really beat up
thnx
damn, the No.3A has no shade on the ground glass!

Hi, Beautiful camera. I have a question to ask.. I found the same camera in mint condition. The seller wants 536 Dollars. Is this a fair price? I can not find any info on it regarding price. Thanks
Phaedra Lee That is a very high price, even for a camera in mint condition. The No.4 is not rare and I think you can find one in very nice condition for less than half the price.
@@joserdkamp I am sorry, I made a mistake. The camera I meant to ask about is the No. 3 Eastman Plate Camera Series D. Is it still a high price? Thank you for replying.
5 glass plate holders are included.
Phaedra Lee There is not much difference between the price of a No. 3 and 4. The plate holders are a nice extra, but not worth the $ 500 + price.
@@joserdkamp Ok thank you. I appreciate the help. The seller told me he bought it from a sailor in the 1970s for 430 dollars, here in Denmark. Thanks again.
I have a Kodak no. 3 pocket camera model A. It needs a few parts to restore. The sliding/folding struts for the door are broken, the red glass is missing, and the tabs for opening the film camera have broken. What models had parts identical to these that could be salvaged? Is anyone making these parts?
It's nice to see 360° views of these cameras in near mint condition. I'm going to purchase one of these but in far worse, but operable shape
I just found one of these in my Grandpas workshop.
Thank you so much for the instructions. I must have a transitional camera because it has the sliding catch on the bottom. After I slid the catch the bottom came right off and I was able to retrieve the film, now i just have to develop!
How do you open this camera I found one with a roll still in it. It is very likely the roll will turn up blank but nevertheless would be very interesting
Donal Mahoney , The original 1897 FPK has a back that is held on by friction only. You have to find out which part can be removed and then push it off gently. The transitional versions sometimes have a sliding catch on one of the sides. You have to press this to one side a few millimeters and at the same time push the back off. The sliding catch doesn't make it easier! See assets.catawiki.nl/assets/2015/6/9/7/9/c/79cd4d4e-0ee6-11e5-9277-4bcfe1d5d7ce.jpg for a pic how the camera looks when the back is taken off.
HI - I have this camera, and the front is stuck or jammed - so I can not open to see the lens. Any ideas?
You have to press a hidden button on one side of the camera. It is covered by the leather. The button is located just below the metal disc to which the strap is attached. It is on the side with the tripod screw thread. Good luck with it.
I love the url of this video : )
What is the model of the camera?
It is a Model B.
It was not fully extended. It has to click first then it takes the best pics it can
hello can you still make or film for the model 1 camera or is it just a beautiful treasure?
I have one of these and i believe it is the first one of these type of these cameras from Kodak.Funny thing is its called the 1a and the newer types are called 1. i think its from 1889-1915. Do you know how you open it to put a film in? My one opens partly but looks as though its going to pull apart on the other side. Cheers.
Great video! Thanks!
337!
How is it that all of your cameras are in such beautiful conditions?!?
We have a Camera Museum in Staunton Virginia- Camera Heritage Museum- I was wondering if you would consider selling one to our museum?
Nice. Typical Waterhouse stop wheel is usually shown on right side, not left. Assume you moved to clean or replace lens. I have one. 40 yrs in collection, but likely on Ebay soon!
thank you very much
Hi, sorry for the delay in answering. I did not know I had any comments on my videos. The music is from freeplaymusic . com and the piece is called Tristeza. You can still find it there.
Hi Bruno, Sorry for the delay in answering, but I did not know I had any comments on my videos. I'm not building these to sell them. I just make them for my own collection. I guess there is more than 40 hours of work to build one, and that would add up to more than $ 1000, even at a moderate fee of $ 25 an hour. Also I do not like to repeat things. Sorry, but you will have to give it a try yourself.
Hi, sorry for the delay in answering. I did not know there were any comments on my videos. There is filmforclassics but I did not find film for this size of camera there. I think you just have to load it with a single piece of film for every shot.
You wont be able to see the shutter otherwise :D
Where can I get films for this camera?
great music, where is it from?
can build one and send it to me my address is: street Oderisi da Gubbio number 18 postal code 00146 rome my name is bruno danna
theres no lens
wow what did you pay for this one?Do you do picss with them?
