Hi all, this is sterngaze1o1 and thanks for checking my channel.
I like city builders, but I also play RPG's, RTS,TBS and many other types, if I like it I play it.
I play and upload games consistently, mostly new games, at least one or two daily, sometimes more.
I play indie games as well as games from more established studios.
Some games are played hard core and/or at higher/highest difficulty level if such settings are available.
I play demo games, hunt some achievements, have ranked plays on various games, explain things, build big cities/villages ,I make tutorials and much more.

Thanks for this. A little feedback for next time, perhaps ... I had to pause and rewind A LOT and it would have been helpful if you had said the correct building names each time, especially for the "fish farm" section... anyway, gold! Hooray, thanks again!
Noted! I presumed that people were already familiar with the inner workings of the game and I did not insist on details too much...😥...just on layout and order of build!
you should use thier abilites more like the grenades and such
True...but I like being more like a strait shooter...I do use them in cramped situations!!!
i failed at killing him without turn base. After I turn on the turn based system, i killed him. All thanks to the grease made from far away by woljif.

Let me see if I understand it, for each building project, you have them collect for only that project?
A bit more complicated...you have build groups...you build one project and assign that project to the build group...there is a maximum amount of workers that can work on any given project. If the number of people present in a build group exceeds the maximum amount that can work on that project then you can build more, otherwise you build slower. In the beginning due to very low number of workers it is advisable to handle one project at a time. I hope it helps! PS. This is a rather deprecated play, though the advice still stands. I have a far more up to date one. You can check on my channel "Summer update" play.

Aha,cool...enjoy the game...some parts still need developing...but the stuff that exists is top notch (with only some minor gripes)!
@@sterngaze1o1 There is one thing I would add, a distribution group that would make the flow of work much more efficient.
No such thing sadly...the game has an inherent amount of micromanagement (when the village grows bigger you will have to shuffle/handle the size of work groups according to what is needed at the moment)...can be a bit tedious at times (that's why is recommended to play at the lowest level of difficulty, at least for the first play).
How can you drop resources in the game?forexample if i wanna drop stone or wood
You mean from a villagers inventory? There is no such option as far as I know!

How did someone double your score wow. That's the highest score I've seen.
The score does not scale in a linear fashion...so the difference is far less huge than the score implies...you just need more time to optimize stuff...

I have a question about the city icons. Is there a bug in the game in wich the icons of the cities are all the same? I think the city icon changes depending of the culture right?

In the OG probably...but some things got changed...maybe is a feature and not a bug type of thing!!!

great video! lots of small things i can pick up and learn as a new player myself! i do wish there was more content out there that wasnt scouted seeds and had players talk about their deliberations more, but i understand that's not reasonable for a game this niche and this late into its life 😅 (at least, "late" by todays internet and YT standards) btw any reason you didnt just click on the established planet icon under the "domain" tab when you were struggling to find the final few ones? im sure you know of this as a veteran player but i still gotta ask

Your videos inspire me a lot... I play only once a month but, that's the only game that I play. I went from having difficulties to reach 20 000 points... Last game, I've got 38 454 points. I'm getting there! :)

Great run but first place dude is something else.. He has 4 slipstreams with 15-17 connections and every planet is pegged to the communication hub for hearts. I really don't know how that is possible, it's like magic.

@@sterngaze1o1 I have done some math (monkey science math because the documentation is not there but) the minimum cost for 17 connected relays should be $5597 (assuming all distances = 1 tile) factoring in overload starting from 118 connections made (when he invented stream splitting), the 15 connection would be $4872 and the next 12 relay connection would be $3457 and the final 12 relay connection would be $3639. I dont think it matters if one was done before the other as the increases are the same (if the 12 was first it would be cheaper but the 17 would be more expensive). The prices above do not factor in Everted slipways tech (which was heavily relied on) which would make everything 60% more expensive. Something like 150 of his connections 200 (post year 13) had to be everted.. His total income from year 14 (inventing relays) was $14,032. I'm going out on a limb and will let Jacob know, I think there is a +$$ glitch being exploited.
Totally possible...or he just adds cash in between years, not a lot but enough to allow steamroll. Like you pointed out beyond a certain point it becomes very difficult to quantify for shenanigans!
@@sterngaze1o1 sorry I deleted the post with the math before you replied. I want to check in dev mode first. It smells a bit fishy to me. I really struggle to make chains longer than 14 and rule of thumb don't bother beyond 11 because there's little point. But pegging every planet to +2 happiness with everted slipways and space architect is cool if legit. Much doubt though.
yeah...they can get very very expensive towards the end...I had one some time ago that costed almost 3k...

Thank you for this - I had no idea how to play this one, because they lead you towards the gas units and the police squads, but using those units has been a serious pain in this mission. If only I knew I should just spam the grenadiers... will give it another try, seriously, had no issues with the game until this point on Challenging, but this mission was like hitting a wall, so frustrating.

Help me, I stayed in trade with the newcomers, negotiate successfully with the newcomers there, I don't know what to do, I stayed there.

It would vastly depend on what you expect from the game! Some things like pottery,metal working,diseases (leads to geriatric villages) and clothing...are not implemented yet, but the stuff that exists is mostly well done!
@@sterngaze1o1 Well the tribe growing game set in this period is really interesting. They'll add a bunch of more stuff from what I read. Can you fight with others yet or?
Yes and no! You can raid, but you cannot be raided...I never used it...but it seems to be very basic! Very few city builders have managed to even remotely do something decent with regarding attacking or being raided and I think the developers have it on the back burner at least for now!
@@sterngaze1o1 Does the progress exist? I've seen a couple of your videos and it's just the same few buildings pretty much. I saw the walled cities and stuff in the preview.
@@talmidshooter6797 Progres exist (especially if you start early, i don't because I do not like the migration necessary before agriculture becomes available), but there is a certain amount of repetivity...houses and storage buildings have the biggest amount of variation followed by religious stuff...some remain the same throughout the game...walled city is nice, but on higher difficulty levels you will not be able to afford such luxury...both time required to build it and resources both people and raw materials (they degrade), and everything built requires maintenance!

hey I noticed you scanned the bottom of the map very fast, instead of scanning the top left corner where there are 2 large signals and 2 mediums. Is there a reason for doing it this way, because i was very shocked to see you make the decision in 2 seconds after loading. I also noticed you instantly went to colonize those planets without getting more information to pick the best place to colonize, I am wondering what your though process is on making this decision since you make it so fast. I also noticed you colonized those planets before knowing whether or not you would meet the requirements. It just seem useless to me to colonize those planets first, if you were going to scan around anyways to look for meeting the requirements, since you could change your mind on where to colonize with more information. I also notice you liked to make prospective colonisations for immediate benefits, without knowing the surroundings or whether you would meet the requirements. I also think that taking risks like this is the most effective way to play since you have 7 years to resolve the missing resources, and it would let you get more resources in the present. I'm wondering what your though process is on when to take these prospective colonisations and when to not. I also am wondering how you deal with resolving these missing resources most effectively. I'm also wondering when is the right time to get science or not to get science. Yeah, whenever I play slipways, it takes me over 3 hours to finish a run typically and I don't get good scores, so I'm really shocked you can play this fast.

Most q can be answered very easy...it's a ranked run...the map is fixed...I already know the map from previous plays.If you want to see a standard run with a random seed then I have several videos like that...just type standard run,I have 5 of them. As for when to get science, tricky...on average target year 5 to start it!!!

I try to keep the videos on arm's length duration wise. As for decisions they are interconnected as hell when you want to max stuff out! If you have specific q feel free to ask!!! 😎
Hi. I earned four stars in 'Standard run' mode on 'Reasonable' difficulty and unlocked the other game modes. Now I would like to play 'Endless' mode on 'Tough' difficulty, but that option is unavailable. Which game mode do I need to complete now to unlock 'Tough' difficulty in 'Endless' mode?
@sterngaze1o1 and I'm almost sure that 'Tough' difficulty in 'Endless' mode is impossible, but I'm hoping for a miracle))
Hi, it does not exist as far as I know...it's just sandbox difficulty, nothing else.
I don't know how this game is so underrated, it's literally a masterpiece. Would be great if the game have more variaty in music, but that's all my problem after 30hours of gametime.
Agreed, on the music side.They did sold a over a 1 million copies on Steam alone,by this metric is not underrated - doing quite well in my opinion!!!

I don't think they ever will, it's fundamentally a city builder with some off screen battles as a sprinkle on top.

Glad I can help!!! Keep playing, you will get better, my very first play I made like 6k score!!! Sadly I only finished 2nd on this difficulty, I developed on the wrong side of the map... ☹ and on this week map I'm far behind, although all my planets are prosperous and the council tasks are more than decent points wise 😥
I'm always amazed, great visionary! How can you play so fast? Did you try out the start very often?
That depends on what you define often 😁!!! It's not that often , I had like 6 runs on this map/difficulty plus some quick tries to see what works and what doesn't. I usually try to get as much stuff done as fast as possible mostly getting 2nd and 3rd tier critical council tasks, therefore the number of optimal moves is limited - at least the way I play!!!
