The Persian Wars: The Storm from the East
This video charts the causes and course of the Persian Wars from the Ionian Revolt in 499 BCE through to the Battle of Plataea in 479 BCE. The video is filmed on location at Miletus, Marathon, Thermopylae, Salamis, Plataea and Athens to enable students to see the landscapes where the narrative actually occurred.
