The game when Michael Jordan did EVERYTHING | Bulls vs Knicks 1989 G1
Michael Jordan has been unfairly criticized for only being a scorer. However, there are plenty of moments in big games where he did it all for his team, on both ends of the floor, to win games. Game 1 of the 1989 semifinals against the New York Knicks, Michael Jordan had a superb all-around performance.

I completely forgot about the Pacers v Lakers game just how u probably forgot about game 7 of the 2006 playoffs. That being said tho is not fair to use as comparison since u just got unlucky but the same could be said for any other player🤷🏾‍♂️.

LeBron had just came back from his worst injury of his career. Literally the second game back & they were getting blown out in a regular season game with no change at making the playoffs. No reason to be out there risking injury again. You wanna talk about effort? How about the having the best comeback of all time in the nba finals? The best block of all time to go with it. Probably the best effort play you’ll ever see. He also overcame a 26 point deficit without Kyrie & Love in the playoffs. That one bad game is nothing compared to what LeBron has done over the years cmon now lol

I knew what your argument would be the moment I saw the title. In Kareem's prime his teams didn't have much success despite his numerous MVP seasons. But he had renewed playoff success later in his career when he moved teams and got teammates at his level like Magic Johnson. I agree with your analysis. Denver has been squandering Jokic's prime with the team built around him, and no matter how good he is, basketball is still a team sport. I'm a lifelong Nuggets fan and would hate to see Jokic leave, but at this point I wouldn't begrudge him if all of his MVP seasons end with early exits from the playoffs. I'll always be grateful that he brought at least one to Denver, and hopefully the organization figures it out and he can bring more.

I am not sure Jokic cares about legacy considering he wants to find somewhere nobody knows him after he retires. He definitely wants to win and his stats are just a side effect of that, but I am not sure he cares about always having all-star teammates the way some in the league do.

MJ would’ve been my Goat If he’d at least made one final in the strong 80’s era . The fact that he had to wait for the league to get so weak to start winning while being the only one in the 90’s with a superteam , is the reason Is number 2 for me . Bron went trough hell and never had a winning system around him . He always had to create one and carry so much load . When Bron beat the warriors , he was Jordan+pippen +rodman at the same time and the warriors knew that Bron was about to smoke them for the next 3 years so Steph curry the third best player in the league went to beg to Durant the second best player in the league to join his 73 win team to beat this man . Bron Is the goat and it’s not even close if you have a brain .

MJ was such a competitor. I live in Vancouver and saw that infamous game when Darrick Martin was trash talking MJ with the Grizzlies up in the 4th quarter. MJ being MJ took over the game as he almost single handedly won the game for the Bulls. We all heard the stories about what he did and said to Darrick Martin, to never ever talk trash to MJ. It was a meaningless game in the middle of winter in a year the Bulls won 72 games against a very bad Grizzles team and MJ showed up. The arena was jumping and was an experience i'll never forget.

I would disagree about how he saying effort a little bit of shade is being thrown when a man has played over 20 straight years consistently and half of his career has been spent in the NBA finals I would think he knows what to do despite NBA Finals records that is defined by team in winning and losing and then mention Kobe losing to the Pacers giving effort well let me remind you sir in a playoff game not a regular season game LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers on a comeback after being down by 26 points to the Indiana Pacers without his number two or number three best player on the court that's effort in a meaningful game that is dealing with elimination see my man LeBron James is playing chess not checkers in order to make it to 8 straight NBA finals it takes a lot of sacrifice and maneuvering and strategy especially when dealing with different teammates out and in plus lineup changes but LeBron James is the king because he remains the constant factor of dominance incredible all around ability and basketball IQ

@@simplecleaning4296 Almost none of what you wrote here is relevant to my points. Most of the things you listed are just things he has most of, which is an outcome of him playing longer than others, because he joined the league younger and because he didn't have the good sense to retire in time, and continues to pointlessly play on way past the time when other superstars would hang their shoes. This is another example of his pathetic character. The only relevant fact you mentioned, in trying to refute my point on choking, is that he averaged the most in the fourth quarter of playoff games. But that only highlights his failure to do this when it matters the most, in the finals. The only big clutch play I remember from him in the finals is a big block in the last minutes of game 7 of the 2016 finals. In ten finals series, he shold have had a lot more.
