this was after atobe and tezuka's match right? I remember that this was one of the most disappointing matches out there. Echizen demolished this guy so fast that I can't remember what techniques did he showed.
That was the point though. Tezuka’s match was all about him setting an example to his team for what the pillar of Seigaku should be. Echizen promptly demolishing the next guy was a demonstration that even when one pillar falls, there’ll be another to take its place.

I missed Prince of Tennis back when it's all about tennis and supernatural things were unnecessary to make it a great anime. In short, I missed its season 1-7 anime series. I hope they can make another series that is consistent with that plot and I hope it will also be as realistic as its season 1-7 💙
