And somebody who lives in Silverton I can tell you the pros are... Property value. It's a great place to invest. The cons.. liberal, Californians and portlanders have moved in and taking power and control in the city council, Mayor's office And trickling into the police. They give handouts and freebies and shelter to homeless which is increasing the homeless population in Silverton because they're coming from Salem and Portland. There's not enough for them in Salem and they know there's plenty of opportunity here for people to get free stuff. The police does not keep track by their own admission as to whether anybody is from Silverton or not when they engage with people, especially the homeless and transient population. That's odd that they won't keep track of that because they normally ask for ID... You think the information on the ID would be gathered and used as a metric. There is a vocal liberal group, many of whom are in office, many of them control Facebook groups, Even the small town newspaper rag is liberal. The town is conservative originally and is slowly getting chipped away by liberals moving in. Sadly, the vocal minority is much louder and in your faith than the silent majority. I on the other hand and part of the loud conservative majority. I make up for those that are afraid to speak out. I love Silverton. It's a great location. Not too close to Portland and not too far from Salem. The country has already showed that it is not in favor of liberal agenda because not only did Trump win the electoral vote, he won the popular vote. Let's return to common Sense and logic.

As someone who was born and raised there, the only thing I admired about this town is the rich history. From the Monteith House to the historic graveyard.

Only try linn benton county or any other riral part of oregon if you are a bigotted hypocrite christian otherwise this place will be pure hell. They only care about destroying all the land for money and then using that money to bully others who live around them. Its a horrible place.

I’d also add my favorite thing to do in Albany which is drive or walk around the Montieth Historic district downtown. Stunning old homes with lots of good history. I’d recommend visiting the Montieth House and the Albany Regional Museum to learn more.

Born (1940) and raised in Corvallis. Many of my best friends were faculty children and grew up in this neighborhood. My kindergarten (1944-46) was in the Harding Elementary basement. I have always wondered why Arnold Way was laid out in a diagonal.

There is commercial air service from Eugene that is much closer than Portland. There are many new apartments under construction in the Geary, Queen, and Waverly area. Many of the jobs are in the metal refining and casting industry.

Hey Tyler, great video. I have lived in the Corvallis/Philomath since 1961 and you are correct, it’s a great place to live. One other item, Corvallis has a fantastic airport. It’s about 5 miles south of Corvallis. There are no commercial airline services to the airport at the moment, but if you want to learn to fly, Corvallis is the place to do it. In my opinion it is one of the best flight training airports on the west coast of the U.S.A. The only con of living here, is the housing and property taxes are way to high! Other than that, Corvallis is the place to live. Again, thanks for the great video.

How many Indian restaurants are in Albany? This is an important criteria I look for when considering moving to a new community. Also, what is the average response time for an ambulance, and is it volunteer or professionally staffed?

All 4 have more pluses than minuses. Currently live in lebanon and enjoy it. Corvallis and albany both have more shopping pluses.

Not all HOAs include amenities. Some HOAs do not include anything at all! Zero, zilch.

I was ran out of Albany Oregon from neighborhood group gang stalking and electrical harassment on 9th sw started 2022 from ex Tony J Lane after catching him cheating with everyman in albany or. I had to leave everything I own behind he is dangerous beware
