Lol. A few inaccuracies here. Mulaney just got with another woman a little more quickly than people preferred but it wasn't an affair and he was not being unfaithful. People always knew he had problems with drugs before and then found out he is no longer with his wife and starting a family with a new one all at once. All this stuff happened over a longer period of time though. And judging from the book his ex wife just wrote she does seem like a handful. Grohl on the other just cheated on his wife and betrayed his whole family. At least that's what we know right now. Completely different situations.

The lyrics aren’t serious, it’s a character, sort of like in the Defense from Hellfire. It’s satirizing the famous playboy celebrity type. As the song progresses, the lyrics get more desperate and the characters true colors start to appear: he’s just a lonely, insecure (g/)creep who can only get female affection by paying for it.

not a good album for me and this review was spot on. i only heard the dare a few weeks ago and it caught my ear a bit. But last year i was floored by De Lux - Love Is Hard Work, a 29 min dance track. Nothing has topped that for me. highly recommend u listen to that based on what u were talking about, its like dance music mixed with cool sampling, so underrated, and im a big lcd head

It’s pretty insane you set up a channel to react to music and didn’t catch that the song is sung from the view of a character. Moreover, you didn’t catch the first half is all chest out Alpha projecting and the last half is his mask slipping and revealing that he pays for every interaction to the last detail. I completely understand that track can be polarising but come on lads, do better😂 this reminds of Jennifer Lawrence saying she turned off Phantom Thread because Reynolds was being nasty to Alma.

The comments about Daddy's Home are a bit weird, I mean, you DO realise it's a concept album right? I agree with most of your takes on All Born Screaming, although I think you need to listen to Violent Times a bit more - she has this thing of taking something familiar and then altering it a bit in a subversive or unsettling way with a melodic or tonal shift, and she really lets loose on the vocals as she rarely does.
