This reminds me of when I was 8 years old taking taekwondo at a McDojo. The first Saturday of every month was belt advancement testing at the main dojo which was about 45 mins away from home. It was every student in the chain's testing day and you had to wait 3 to 4 hours to test. It was those testing days that the black belts all got to show off for our entertainment. They did this light sparring crap, there was a stage where some of them would do kata while screaming at the top of their lungs lol. It was basically a circus 🤡😂

This is so bad. No Jab. No front snap kick. Just really bad side kicks that miss by an entire foot. lol. "Black Belt" my rear end. Our Isshinryu Green belts would smoke any of these guys. I don't know how people get "black belts" when they are throwing air punches and especially air kicks and land on their butt from missing a kick by more than a foot. I have 6 years full-time training in Isshinryu Karate, and I think I can count on one hand the number of times I fell on my butt in the dojo during sparring, because we learned balance and coordination right away. I mean, after the FIRST time I lost a sparring match due to poor balance mechanics, I LEARNED never to make the mistake again, and it never happened again.
When I was practicing Karate and Kickboxing in my youth, I always had only a yellow belt. I didn't take any further exams, but I consistently followed the sport in training and participated. I was an experienced martial artist and with my yellow belt, I defeated many black belts and even Dan masters. As Miyagi said, 'Belt only holds up pants' :)
What the hell was that? Do you think these guys know they suck? Or walking around as proud black belts thinking they're able to handle themselves? For shame on the teacher.
