Very helpful. Went today so few updates. Firstly there is a new requirement - the letter needs to be notarized. This can be done at the BDO bank building next to the Bureau of Immigration (turn left after exit, walk 50 metres). The 'office' is through the car park at the rear. Takes 5 minutes and costs 200 pesos. You need your passport to get into the Bureau and to show various staff. The counter for processing is now Counter 5. In the application form Visa/Travel Information Section. In admission status type Balikbayan. In length of stay enter visa expiry date e.g. 2025 May 21. In present status also enter Balikbayan. Cost remains around 4,900 pesos. Pay at counter 16 then go back to counter 5 to get the receipt. Then you go upstairs via counter 44 to room 214 (actually a window in the corridor) where they will take your photograph and fingerprints. Collection is after 7 working days, call first. Overall friendly and efficient.
