    Mr Robert, I'm thinking about buying a cat claw sharpener. I know you used 1 before buying the BMS 250. Is the cat claw worth it? Thanks

    • @RRRNeveraDullMoment23
      @RRRNeveraDullMoment23 5 месяцев назад

      I used the cat claw for years. It is good machine and does good job. If I were only sharpening for myself I would still be using it. It costs more to run the BMS250 but it is so much faster and I love it for my business. Thank you for watching my videos. If you want to talk you can call me at 228 990 8262

    Impressive machine 👍🏼. Could someone please explain the placement of the controls? I understand that it is nice to be straight behind the blade, but it blocks half of the space to drag boards backwards. If the boards allways go forward or the the side I get it, but with an edger behind the back of the sawyer? Well, I guess it's all about preferences 😉😀.

    Good video years ago I went to see a baker mill . I think with the cost of wiring them up the electric ones were way higher now with the price of copper it would be worse. Take care, be safe and well.

    That's some saw you have and you make sawing look easy that's in my opinion a lot of expirence on display. What a nice sawmill built large enough to make processing and managing stock efficient and pleasent to work with. Saw is amazing from the stock holddowns to the capability to easily with operator skills manipulate even seperate individual pieces of stock when needed. Saw from the sound could be run even faster if you desired and those thin evening cuts show that you could create plys from wood for bending and relaminatin, I wished you had shown close-ups of these thin slabs. Suggest maybe a larger loader, Ray Stormont

    We purchased a Cooks first, and then the Woodmizer BMS250. The Cooks now sits with a dust cover on it as our backup sharpener if needed. The BMS250 with contoured wheels are superior. We sharpen our 1 1/2” sawmill blades, and 1 1/4” resaw blades on the BMS250. We’re running 3 hours on Sawmill blades, and getting 3-4 sharpening. We run 3 hours on resaw blades and get 5-6 sharpening’s. The blade tip sharpness and the grind into the gullet to eliminate stress cracks is superior and outstanding. We also like the blade sharpening oil because it cleans the pitch off of the blades, and has eliminated the need to wire wheel clean the blades.

    • @RRRNeveraDullMoment23
      @RRRNeveraDullMoment23 Год назад

      THANK you for your comment. We also feel like the BMS250 is a far superior sharpener than the Cooks. My Cooks backup sharpener is also collecting dust along with the nine cams I have for it.
