In November 2006, one of America's most talented and overlooked singer-songwriters, Bob Lind performed live a full-length in-studio concert for an upcoming documentary project. Bob Lind is known for his 1966 hit single "Elusive Butterfly" and other critically acclaimed folk-rock recordings from that period (produced by the legendary Jack Nitzsche). Bob is a prolific songwriter whose composition...
spectacular! pure jangly folk rock
Lind and Bukowski were good friends. One was sober, the other not so much
Such an incredible talent
🌻you are so right he is a great lyric song writer. syracuse New York
❤Lind is one awesome song writer
This was flip side of "Elusive Butterfly". I still play both side a lot. Sonny Bono does good on his version on the album "In Case You're In Love" album. Sound like he's singing "Cher's going home".
And here's me thinking that this was a John Otway composition, but hey, they are both great renditions.

wow, 10 years later listening to this once again
What an amazing performance all round...just look at the faces at the end..they all knew they nailed perhaps THE definitive version of an amazing song
tears.
Such a great tune, and gifted musical artist.... Amazing band, too!
Is this MY BOB LIND, of ELUSIVE BUTTERFLY fame? I know it is. First time I've ever seen him live! Great!
yes, same Bob
Just how good can good get.
Not much better than that.
Brilliant song! Delivery as good as the original all those years ago! 👏🏼👍🏼🙏🏼
better???
Just found this....FANTASTIC!!!!! I remember it from back in the day...always loved it
Listen to The Blues Project do this song.
Love. Song
♥I love this song to.
Bellissima. I Rokes la presentarono in Italia col nome di '' Ma che colpa abbiamo noi'', anni sessanta , che poi divenne un grande successo anche per loro.
Bob had a great band backing him there. He rarely tours with a band. They nailed this song EVEN BETTER THAN the originally recorded version on the “Since There Were Circles” LP back in 1971. Funny if people didn’t catch the lyrics “she’ll listen to your trite advice”. I caught that the first time I ever heard the song!! LOL! Bob does have a great sense of humor people.... Bob’s a very cool 😎 and down-to-earth intellectual artist. I had the privilege to meet him twice in person, and talked with him. Check out all of his great music here on RUclips. Stay safe and well EVERYONE.... 😎👍🏻
I am so happy I never listen to the radio.
I was there to see and hear this performed and recorded live! What a wonderful experience.
BRILLIANT WRITER OF THE SIXTIES. THANKS TO ALL. Colin UK.
The italian version was sang by the Rokes who were the beattles of italy in the 60's
Bob Lind's Elusive Butterfly...big hit.
ravissant ^👍💙💚💛💜
Great BOB!!! Ciao from Rome !!!
If you look up word underated ...there is a picture of Bob Lind... (right next to Laura Nyro.)
He's still amazing ! One of the most important artist for me
The Blues Project version is by far the best.
Without a doubt.
I love it but that is debatable.
No way.
ABSOLUTELY!!
could listen to this all night..
🌻me too
What venue was this recorded at please?
Don't knock the rock Believe it was Palm Studio in LA. My son played keyboards & was musical director for the project.
@@williamcook8846what a great job !
I was in the audience for this performance by Bob. Love this tune and what an outstanding performance
Was this at The Luminere in London? I was there too.
William Cook - Lucky 🍀 YOU! Great band backing him there. He rarely tours with a band. They nailed this song EVEN BETTER THAN the originally recorded version on the “Since There Were Circles” LP back in 1971.
I love the chord changes. lots of lovely 7th chords. his tunes are always musically interesting and his lyrics are passionate and intelligent.
Nice tune. Doesn't matter how he had lost her, but that he still was looking for her...miserably...
I really like this song!
@loupchapman .... I suppose you were joking but just in case you weren't this is the same guy you compaired him to. LOL
Wonderful!
@NickSendall Sorry...not even close.
This is such a timeless song.Love it.
Bob still is a classic Troubador and great song writer. He's also a super nice man and a great old friend.
Jon Paley - Bob has a killer sense of humor, and is a very cool guy. I’m sure after this Pandemic passes.... He’ll be performing live again. Hopefully he’s still recording new material in his studio, now.
@@joereich686 does he ever talk about his ol pal Bukowski?
Bob is still one clsiic troubador and a great guy to boot.
As superb now as he was then - great stuff...
Sorry but I prefer the cover performed by the english group "The Rokes" with the title "Che colpa abbiamo noi" (1966). Try...it's great!
not one of bob's best. i prefer the stuff from photographs of feeling and some of his other earlier albums. still, this is good and very lindesque. even good to dance to so i did the lindy hop
hear, I mean, not here! Must have been drunk :)
I've been a big fan for years. I found all Bob's albums on vinyl. Now he's back playing again and I'll be seeing him tonight in Deerfield Beach, FL....can't wait!
10 years later.... He still performs live. The man is a legendary performer.... I’m sure he will be out there again, after this Pandemic passes....
Wow! I'd pay big bucks to see him in front of an orchestra! He still has it!
