Wild Play Extreme Course Speed Run (almost broke a record!)
Просмотров 3683 года назад
Went with some of my martial arts friends to go ziplining and on an obstacle course run down at Jones Beach State Park in NY called Wild Play Adventure theme park. Had such a great time with the first beginners course that I asked a friend, Nestor, to record me doing a speed run of the extreme course they had. Ended up nearly breaking their record set at 9:47 on my first try with a 10 minutes f...

Two years ago, I rejoined the Narts Dance Ensemble. A folk dance troupe of my people, the Circassians. We trained and worked hard together to throw a magnificent performance two nights ago. I embarked on this journey to rekindle my knowledge of my people because my wife is now expecting and we have a boy on the way I intend to teach about his ancestry and the struggles they went through to reta...

Self Defense Intro: Psychology

A good friend of mine expressed concern for her well being and asked me for some advice. Take what I say with a grain of salt and starts conversation on the matter if you wish to disagree or confirm any points I bring up. The video cuts off because I ramble too long but I will add more regarding actual physical defense. This regards mostly the psychological aspect of it. Enjoy!

Challenge of Champions XXXVII

In the 37th Challenge of Champions earlier today I competed in the advanced Grappling and MMA divisions. Although I lost in the first round for Grappling, I was happy to finish both my MMA matches in submissions. Had to drop weight since no one was in any categories above, even in the highest division this competition. So I went from 160 to 153 in a week just to compete. First round was triangl...

I promised a long time ago I would put together a fail compilation. This is me doing a small tribute to all the times I've failed. There were many more with serious injuries but I thought I'd keep this light-hearted and short. "Why do we fall? So we can learn to pick ourselves up." - Thomas Wayne in The Dark Knight Rises
Skydiving

FINALLY! My very first time skydiving! Thank you Skydive Hawaii from O'ahu, Hawaii. I know it's cliche but I felt like I was flying! It was the best time of my life jumping with my newlywed wife, Brooke! I love her!
Nice job
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
You are a Christian fundamentalist troll.
Just a heads up damien your probably gunna get dragged out of your house by your ancles and are at a big risk of having your legs broken, leave the kids alone you sick animal.
Hey, remember that girl you talked to that loved to do gymnastics. That’s me! I just wanted to say that you should join dance again. Then I can show you what I learned! I also learned how to do a front handspring.
Oh wow! I'm so proud to hear that! I'd love to return but I manage my gymnastics school and now raising two young boys. I will definitely return but I might not come back as a student since I have many other responsibilities. Keep training both in dance and gymnastics and continue to overcome your goals as you seek to express yourself as you always have, Kupsa!
Oh, thats ok. I hope your boys are very healthy and god bless them.
I can do other things too. I just wanted to say that i really miss you.
@@kupsabatej1198 I really miss you too! Once this quarantine blows over, I hope to see all that you've learned and just how much you've grown!
You should watch the 2019 performance, I am in it.
mesmerizing... all the way. I will attempt these moves when I have new thighs.
Thank you so much! I am sure you can still express yourself through dance in your own style
Excellent points! The weakest are always sought out but the predatory. Always be aware of your surroundings , and who you are around. Try to avoid conflict at all costs, but when you must act, act decisively.
karldammann Thanks! I had planned out a whole series on this but forgot all about it. Lol Maybe I should revisit this and add more to it?
I would watch them!
Man you are one crazy dude jumping out plane !!!
lol Yeah, it's how my wife and I wanted to celebrate our marriage. Just who we are.
Good fight Murat
Not all that good. I've done better but thank you.
This was interesting insight info Fire !!!
Thank you but I cannot take the credit. I learned from another self defense seminar and it really makes a lot of sense.
Very nice
:24 that was actually pretty impressive
Thank you! I was Lie Ren and I love martial arts as well as his weapons concept.
nice aerials. the music sucks though
+fitness kickboxer Thanks? ruclips.net/video/pWdd6_ZxX8c/видео.html
Very nice good luck to u for the future brother .!!
Thanks! It's looking good so far!
Donkey Kong, always a good choice of music for tree climbing , but it looked so cold compared to the island stage this was from xD The picture at 0:47 is the best! And it's funny because yesterday we drove right by that park on our way to get lunch in Montclair.
+BentoBoxArt I was considering Ice Cave Chant or Northern Hemisphere but they didn't match the tune of tree climbing. Plus, it was really warm yesterday! By the way, stop by whenever you're in town! Just call me to see if we're home. We'd love to have you two over for some tea and chatting. Miss you!
Lol I just watched this. Omg, I miss when you used to post all these videos of you derpin around with your crappy camera. I guess you used to have a lot more free time.
Oh wow, memories!! Am I stupid for still laughing at this?!
+DamienZshadow Maybe, but I laughed too! xD
Congradulations. This is awesome!
Lol, someone is a Sonic the hedgehog fan. Nice matches.
You damn right!
Challenge of homosexuality. Damien approved!
I understand the misconception you have regarding grappling arts in our conversation on another thread, but it would be best to keep the discussion in the appropriate area. Let's also avoid resorting to mockery and insults when trying to clarify any of your confusion. Please, tell me how you came to this conclusion again considering the fact that most who do grapple tend to be fully clothed as in the video of my competition you commenting on. In regards to those that don't, I hope you acknowledged the point I made in the other thread about why professional fighters tend to avoid letting the clothing get caught up so judges can accurately assess a fighter's ability without any unnecessary factors. Some professional grappling matches, however, do include tactics with grappling with a gi so this is not always the case. Again, let's be civil and maybe we can both learn something from each other.
JohnnyFingerlove Oh, is that what you are arguing this whole time? Your contention with mixed martial doesn't appear to be in the grappling aspect appearing to be questionable but more in line of its effectiveness in self defense. If that's the case than yes, I agree, acting this way would not help me in the slightest. A real situation calls for more finesse, utilization of your environment (including weapons) and some techniques that would maim or kill an opponent. That isn't to say a good punch or knee kick wouldn't be used but that it wouldn't be all I was limited to. I have no argument against the fact that I would use a lot more in a real situation than what I would be using in a sanctioned tournament or sparring match. Please say what you really mean from the beginning and we might have avoided all this wasted time getting to your true point you were trying to make in the first place. Mockery, insults, and ad hominem only diverge from your central idea and waste time.
Awesome Fight. Really nice kicks and speed.
Thank you very much! Kicks are my "go-to" but I've been trying to improve my hand work too.
That's Awesome!
Hey, thanks!
that's a good idea, love this move could work, there's a danger maybe when your head is under his body, so it works the first time but I think it's not wise to use it multiple times in the same fight, but a surprising move for sure :)
Thanks to the insight, but I already agree. Moves like this are easily countered by the guys I train with on a regular basis because they know me too well, but I can catch someone off guard in competition who may have never met me before. You need not worry about my head through, he is not able to sit on me or do anything as once my feet hook under his armpits I have destabilized him and pushed his weight on to his hands. Either way, it's not really a serious move I often do, I was just illustrating it for a friend of mine on Facebook who was discussing the validity of a technique he saw someone teach.
ok, glad to hear it's not dangerous for your head, not surprised it's countered, and I love the backflip push, nice move ! Pulled it off when I was younger >< now, I need to lose 5 kilos before I even try it again :) keep it up, you look like a properly trained martial artist anyway, you hava a good spirit, and that's what will remain
Sergane Sariani Thank you so much for your kind words! I look forward to hearing when you get back on the horse too. Take care!
:) I'll let you know !
I remember when Jim tried to do that with you on tumble track and it didn't work out so well, lol.
Yep, this went significantly better than that. lol Speaking of privates, I'm having my first adult private lesson next week. One of the mothers of one of my students really wants to learn. XD
OMG, you've become Jim...lol
BentoBoxArt Do you smell that, Mr.Engel?!
Were other kids throwing in their belts at the instuctor? Lol
Nice, I'd like to jump HALO.
Yea, 12,000 feet was pretty good for our first jump and the only thing we could afford on our already expensive honeymoon trip. One day though, I intend on it!
Yeah, I gotcha. That is still pretty bad ass.
Awesome picture. I love the line work. We should do a collaboration sometime :D
Yes! Especially since you're so much better at coloring than I am. Did you want to do another half by me-half by you, or I draw something then you draw something, or I draw something and then you color it?
***** Probably you draw and I color.
Sounds like a plan! You pick the first content/theme and then we'll do another where I pick.
***** Because I have way less ideas then you do, why don't you come up with something first, lol.
Very cool design. I like how you constructed the jet type parts attached to him.
Thanks, I'm still working on the configuration but that kind of how I imagine a flying turbine cycle thing that we talked about. I'd like to draw you're version sometime.
This is just amazing! That is a hard jacket to draw with all the weird patterns on it. You even got my pink cheeks in there too. I love you!
^_^ Yea, but it was worth it. It's always great recreating the day I spent with you.
Wow, your handstands have gotten better, lol.
Thanks, I only do them a hundred times a day at work. lol
Was happy to find you put up another drawing. Really cool character, hope to see more drawings soon :)
Been drawing a lot lately and put up another just now.
Lol that was awesome, loved the sound effects. Looked like fun :D
Great Matches.
That looked insanely tough. So much respect! The guy in the red really had it out for you it seemed.
I think you looked really good! I'm assuming the big head shot you told me about happened in the last round?
Always have a great time fighting with you. You're one of my favorite opponents too =D
Sorry to report this but Agustin Rayo, your instructor, died over the weekend.
I am so impressed. I believe the appropriate New World locution is something like "You rock dude".
Thanks
any leads? I have my own but the strings came much longer and tied differently, so my style is more improvised and far from traditional
That was an amazing moment and the painting is perfect. This is a nice song too. You are not a forgetful twit, your MY forgetful twit, lol. I love you!
where did you buy your flying kamas because the only ones i can find is light weight wood handles
Thanks man, you're a lifesaver, although you're a bit hard to hear over the music
So glad you're back doing what you love. That's great! Those Nerf sticks look awesome. You're quite an athlete to do what you do.
Good job throwing! If you do plan on trowing the cyclone, throw it closed.
LOL the one time you see that big ass triple bladed menace and all you hear is Ohhh!! Cut again! I loled hard. Oh and it looks like your getting better at throwing :3 We should seriously put together a montage of all the times you've cut yourself on camera, starting with that sticker bush in the woods, lol.
The upside down one was pretty hilarious, and that thing looks like it was designed to take both you and your opponent out.
@DamienZshadow I have one skill I enjoy and cherish, and that is to observe the skills in others. At times I don't open my eyes enough, at other times I'm not lookng hard enough or long enough, but when I zero in, it's quite a show. The greatest show on earth. Even such patience is a show. That is great news to all of us that the doctor sees February. Not far away at all.
Amazing again! Really enjoyed the video. I know Carmichael Simon. He's the one that started tricking. He has a website under Reach Intermix and his studio is close to my house. You two could really put on a show.
Your talents never end. So glad to see you found a way to take your artistic abilities to various forms of video. The fall, the shadow, the bounce, etc; you got such detail.
Totally amazing! When I saw your video I was hoping you did not get injuries, and then I read you have. I'm sorry to hear that and will keep you in my prayers. It must really hurt not being able to do the thing you love, but you certainly have the drive to get back at it, and I could relate. Your martial arts movements were like butter and smooth as silk. You are one disciplined dude. It's great seeing and reading how you cherish life.
@DamienZshadow man same it really changed me i still love tricking i still want but i know if i start i will be injury, it hurts inside but cant have all :P sorry for my english
