6 year Navy veteran here '88-'94...FF 1055 USS Hepburn.. SST 2nd Class. During WES-PAC we stayed in a typhoon for 3 days...45° rolls and pitches. 250+ men aboard and about 80 of them threw up continuously for those 3 days. I got tossed out of my bunk one night around 0130. Ate sandwiches for those 3 days because cooks couldn't prepare anything and we couldn't eat it on a table if they did!😂😂😂 I didn't have any problems but a lot of them did. In the CO'S quarters a mess officer got his femur broken when the Cap'n's couch broke loose and slid across the compartment, smashing into his left leg. Yall....it was the wildest ride I've ever been on ❤😂😂😂I'll NEVER forget that
