Night Photography with Insta360 One R 1" Mod
#insta360 #insta360oneR
One feature that drew me to the Insta360 One R was the Night Shot mode for still photography. In this video I go over that feature and compare it to just taking long exposure night shots. Giving manual control over that feature would make this camera a night time/astrophotography beast, in my opinion.

Comparing Astrophotography Shots with Different Sensor Sizes (FF A7R IV, 1" LX10, 1/2.3" FZ80)
Просмотров 3363 года назад
In this video I look at the same shots of constellation Orion with three different cameras. Each camera has a different sensor size. The Lumix FZ-80 has a very small sensor at 1/2.3", the Lumix LX-10 has a 1" sensor, and the Sony A7R IV has a full frame sensor. Truthfully, the results surprised me! Lumix LX-10 (LX-15): Underrated Vlogging Camera
Просмотров 2073 года назад
The Lumix LX-10 is underrated vlogging camera that you can find on the used market for cheap. This video is primarily to show footage from the LX10 in the style of a vlog. Each clip shows off different resolutions and frame rates of the camera. The footage was edited in Adobe Premiere Rush. Not only is the LX10 a good vlog camera, it also is a great still camera. Pros and Cons of the Panasonic Lumix LX-10 (LX-15) - Better than a Smart Phone Camera?
Просмотров 2 тыс.3 года назад
Have smart phones killed the compact travel camera? In this video I discuss the pros and cons of the LX-10 (LX-15 outside the U.S.). I've had this camera for a year and a half and really enjoy it but it does have its downsides. There may be competitors from Sony and Canon that others would find better suited for their needs. In this video I also show some photos I've taken from this camera that...
Photographing the Great Conjunction - Jupiter & Saturn - on Sony A7R IV with Tamron 70-180 and 28-75

#greatconjunction In this video I go through my process of photographing the planets and moon during the great conjunction event while keeping foreground elements in the photo. I didn't realize that my zoom in Lightroom was set to 300% rather than 100% so I was a bit confused with the noise level when I was zooming in. Can the video quality of a $300 Lumix FZ-80 compete with a $3,000 Sony A7R IV?
Просмотров 5333 года назад
Nobody cross-shops a relatively cheap compact zoom camera like the Lumix FZ-80 with a full-framed hi-res expensive camera like the Sony A7R IV. But people who are using something like the FZ-80 may wonder what benefits a larger sensor camera has. This video compares the two to see where each camera excels. My progress with bird pictures with the Lumix FZ-80 (FZ-82)
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 года назад
Follow me on instagram: @southtxphotos The Lumix FZ-80 got me into photography. My first pictures were shot in auto mode with no real knowledge of photography. In this video I go over my earliest bird photos with the FZ-80 and show my progression over the last year and a half. I've upgraded my gear over the last year but I apply and share the knowledge I've gained to get decent bird photos with...
Upgrade your telephoto image quality: Tamron 70-180 vs Sony 24-240
Просмотров 3193 года назад
This video is geared towards the photographer looking to switch from their all-purpose 24-240 to something with a constant aperture and (arguably) better image quality. There are a whole lot of videos out there comparing the Sony 24-240 to the Tamron 28-200. These are all fine and good, but this video is geared more towards those wondering if moving away from the all-purpose super zoom is worth...
Pros and Cons of Panasonic Lumix FZ-80 (FZ-82)

Follow me on instagram: @southtxphotos In this video I talk about the camera that got me into photography. There's some things I really like about it and some things that it simply lacks. But, for a $300 camera it's decent! This video is geared towards people thinking about purchasing the FZ-80 or for those who are thinking about upgrading. There'll be more FZ-80 content coming! My first 1.5 years taking photos - Panasonic FZ80 to Sony A7R IV
Просмотров 4153 года назад
Obviously gear doesn't make the photographer. A pro with a compact ultra-zoom with a small sensor will probably take better photos than me with my Sony A7R IV all day. But good gear can remove limitations and help you get better photos when you learn how to use it. In this video I talk about what got me into photography and my progress so far. I go through, in Lightroom, some recent photos I to...
Hello! You would deserve so so many more subs - you're awesome! 🩵
Thank you for sharing your tutorial with this model, your photographs are excellent, I have just purchased the Panasonic fz82 primarily for my daughters wedding in March, I'm hoping to get some good results, thank you again.
I just bought a brand new one for £245, I have a Lumix G3, but looking forward to the time lapse, moon shots, fun things etc on this one
Hello, can I send you a picture on instagram? This camera was a birthday gift. It's my first one. It suddenly has some lines when I'm talking a picture, like glitches.
You are not telling us how to set the camera to the various speeds you mention.
how do you play videos
1.5 years later and this video is so helpful for me! the FZ80 is still the best budget option I have found and I am considering grabbing v soon, thank you! P.S that picture of "seagulls" early is actually a squadron of pelicans :)
Hi Great video...I just got one yesterday to bird with.....Why does it beep 3-5 times after taking a photo and then when I am on hold not paying attention to where I'm pointing it? Have you used the off shore extra batteries instead of a $47 panasonic original? Thanks
Great video dude. Just bought one on impulse just due to the zoom. Also my first camera. Have only owned for under a week. But yeh have the nerves of a boob so don't want to use it until I get a screen protector for the screen and a case so I case leave it out. Wait. Is that something you can do? Leave a camera out on the shelf. Lol How should I daily store this at home?? Thanks in advance.
thanks!
Just got this yesterday for birding.
That's 2022 for you!! Fungi Infected COVID diseased camera / small scratch on lens / flash won't work / no book, no charger, no battery for $299 (BULLSHIT!!)

Cool to see Anton Chigurgh left the killing business
ha! pandemic hair
can you put different lenses
no, this one doesn't have interchangeables lenses -- but the lens range on this is massive from ultra-wide to ultra-zoom
Panasonic Lumix LX10/15 in 2022? What's your opinion? Thanks!
Still good if you can find it for around $250-300 - image quality on the one inch sensor really beats out the smaller sensors on phones and other compacts
The manual says the zoom grind is “normal”…………..I just got it, so we’ll see…….🤔🤔🤔. 👍👍👍
Hi, sugar... The critters at 22:41 are a Coot and the white and yellow one is a goose, not a duck. I love the improvements you are making. I have to learn more about what the aperture and shutter speed and ISO settings do for your photo. I'm getting an education on RUclips. Thanks for your photos of birds. I love them and I am learning with the Lumix FZ-80.
Exactly what I was looking for! A7iii with the Sony lens really sucks in low light straight out of the camera, and I really need a better telephoto lens, am thinking about the tamron. Does the tamron perform better in low light? I need to deliver straight out of the camera images on location to my clients while shooting conferences with crappy lighting. Thank u! Btw. The sony has too many artifacts while shooting long exposure photos even in lowest iso.
yeah, the Tamron is great in low light with the aperture set at 2.8. For sure, the Tamron is leagues ahead the 24-240 in terms of overall image quality. The sony would be useful if you really need the full zoom range from ultrawide to long telephoto, but if just need the telephoto reach, the Tamron is great way to go -- or if money isn't a concern, the new Sony 70-200 2.8 looks fantastic and is getting rave reviews.
I use this camera. Please tell me if you use the P setting and his do you set the shutter speed to high and iso to 80.
I shot most of these in M mode. For birds, I set the ISO pretty high so I can get the shutter speed up to 1000-2000 to freeze the action. ISO causes a lot of noise on this camera above 800, so try not to go much past that. But I'd rather have more noise and a crisp shot than worrying about keeping the ISO at the minimum settings.
@@headwestphotos9615 thank you but I’m not that good just a novice moving from iA to P. So your help with basic settings for P option shooting still birds would be helpful. I find blurring even at 10 feet if I use P. What am I doing wrong?
@@Ozmulki either missing focus or too slow of a shutter speed. less likely that camera shake is causing it b/c it has such solid vibration control. Make sure your auto focus is set to tracking for wildlife and use the touchscreen to try to lock onto the subject. the tracking auto focus works decently in bright situations, but it does miss quite frequently so it is wise to have camera in burst mode while using the tracking auto focus
@@headwestphotos9615 focus is the problem. Trouble us when you are trying to shoot birds you can’t fiddle with settings or you risk losing the shot. I’ll keep persevering. Thank you.
How do you get rid of camera noise on video mode???
there's a noise cancellation mode that you can select -- it doesn't do all that much, though, if it's windy. Best bet if audio is important is to get a cam that you can hook up an external mic to
Great photo's what mode do you normally use. I've recently got this camera and only used IA mode so far.
Thank you! I usually shoot in manual mode, or for bird, manual with auto ISO so I can keep the shutter speed up high enough to freeze the motion
@@headwestphotos9615 Thank you, I'm still learning but I must get out of IA mode!
I'm 55 and just got into photography with the fz80. Wish I would have done it years ago because I'm having a blast with this camera!
I do a fair few videos on this camera on my own channel, as you say if you work with it the fz80 (82 here in the UK) can produce some excellent results for a cheap camera.
I just got one of these for my first camera and I think it's fantastic! I took a few pictures of the moon with it on a tripod and they turned out awesome! Such a fun camera to play with! I'm also having fun taking slow motion videos of EVERYTHING! 😂😂
Definitely! Can't beat the fun factor in this price range
Great video. My experience with this camera has been very different. Lots of hours spent trying to master all the weaknesses. Glad you have more persistence than I do.
thanks! Definitely a lot of limitations, but with such a zoom range, it's a lot of fun!
Been considering this camera and this is helpful. Thanks buddy
No problem! It's a great camera that can be found for a good price, for sure
Nice results. I am considering this camera for birding so this is very helpful for me. What software are you using to display your pictures?
Thanks! -- I was using Adobe Lightroom for editing
Where did you buy it? I'm not sure where to buy it as different sites say the camera they're selling have different video resolutions, etc.
I got mine at Precision Camera in Austin, TX. Check 'em out online, they're good people. As far as I know, there's only one version of the FZ-80, you can record in different resolutions up to 30p 4k. I'd definitely recommend not buying this camera used unless it's in like new condition and only if you can buy a replacement warranty with it. The motors for the zoom tend to give out easily so you'll definitely want a replacement warranty if bought used or new.
Hi, are the prints you have for sale taken with the Lumix FZ82? They are some really good prints
Thanks, Mick! I don't have any with the FZ80/82 at the moment. Maybe I'll throw some of these up on my Etsy, though. I'll be posting a video showing how the FZ82 prints at some point (likely in May once I'm done with my semester).
Nice haircut!
thanks!
I recently bought a Lumix FZ80/82 and I’m not a camera expert, in fact I’m new to all of this but I have to say the LUMIX is impressive for what it does. I use it to make my Channel videos.
For sure! It's an awesome camera. Not much else has the zoom capabilities and image stabilization that the FZ-80 has. It got me hooked on photography and even though I've bought a bunch more cameras since, I still break out the FZ-80 when I get the chance. Interestingly, the tracking AF on the FZ-80 works wayyy better than the tracking on my Lumix GX85. Good job, Panasonic on bringing good features to that camera.
nice shots,love it !!!
Thank you!
Love the intro music!!!
very great video !!! make more video about lumix fz80 please🙏🙏🙏
Thank you! Will do! I have one showing the video capabilities of it coming soon
Love these models!
