On this episode we travel to the Hanseatic city Zutphen, located in the Achterhoek section of Gelderland Province

On Sunday April 7th NYC (formerly New Amsterdam) held its first Tulip Day. This was in recognition of the first Dutch ship that arrived 400 years ago, in 1624. They would colonize the area dubbed "Nieuw Nederland", with Nieuw Amsterdam as its principal trading hub. With 200,000 tulip bulbs sent from the Netherlands, Union Square was temporarily overtaken by Tulip Mania.

Hidden in NYC's Gramercy Park, is a house that was built in Amsterdam in the 17th century. It was shipped off to New Amsterdam, but seemed to have gotten lost, because when it finally arrived 200 years later, it was now called New York. While nothing survives from Dutch New Amsterdam, with its 17th century origins, this is perhaps the oldest house in NYC.

Shot in May 2023, this episode takes you to two quaint villages in the Noord Holland province: De Rijp and Broek in Waterland. De Rijp is situated between Alkmaar and Purmerend, about 50 minutes from Amsterdam. Broek is ono the way towards Edam, Volendam and Marken. It's only a 14 minute bus ride from Amsterdam Centraal Station.

Shot in May 2022, this show features the Hanzastad Zwolle, capital of the Overijssel province. As a member of the Hanseatic league, Zwolle is rich in history. This show was shot during Bevrijdingsdag (WW2 liberation day), so the town was quite lively.
