Have you not realized that modern music history is a fake history of mainly commercially pushed garbage? These blast off Aussie Garage Rocker tunes were at first compiled and released by Raven records. So much better than many celebrated well known commercial bands !

soma recording studio was on hennepin ave in south minneapolis. Prince would have been about 8 years old at this period around mid 1960s, as he grew up mostly in south minneapolis on Oakland Ave, about 2 miles away from Soma records studio. The Prince music sound came later, as he followed in the footsteps of at least one local black band (later developed as the Minneapolis sound) led by black band leader keno Gibson . But there was the other earlier Minneapolis sound from Soma recordings of the local mid 1960's rock and roll bands of Minneapolis. some minneapolis city parks held teen dances friday evenings fall season mid 1960's, using teen rock and roll bands. these small basement bands sang the popular songs of the larger local bands such as the chancellors from southwest high school in minneapolis (little latin lupe lu) , and also the del counts, underbeats, and minneapolis grown castaways (liar liar). we teens all danced away friday nights in the mid 1960's in minneapolis city park buildings to Little Latin Lupe Lu, Liar Liar pants on fire and the rest of the great rock and roll, lots of it cranked out of Soma records on Hennepin Ave. We loved and danced to death with this music, never having any idea it was fresh local music, destined to impact american rock and roll. It as a magical time to grow up as a teen in south Minneapolis, dancing to those great songs. Prince was not the first to create the Minneapolis sound, he expanded on it. Castaways, Del Counts, Chancellors, Underbeats legend bands in their day.
