That's not how radar works. Only moving objects interfere with radar. Metal reflects it sure, but it's not moving so there's no return signal. Floor or mirrors won't affect radar either. You really need to do more research. It's not how radar works.

Hi Josh, I got rid of the R10 and went with Square Golf, and could not be happier! With the R10, I had built Farraday cages around my heater, portable AC unit, using aluminum screen for windows. The areas to cover were mostly around motors like you mentioned, and they worked perfectly. However, I got frustrated with R10 for occasional wild reads and mis-reads. It's the worse feeling when I hit a great drive and the no read from R10. Or the occasional wild reads that would have translated that I hit the left or right edges of my impact screen, when in fact were more in the middle. With Square Golf (a month in), I have experienced 99.9% reads and for my level - more than acceptable results. It reads the shortest chips, bump & runs, and putts! It offers an official connector with GSPro (which I use) and Awesome Golf. Some people complained that Square doesn't read spin axis accurately, but they were comparing to 5k to 20k units! Come on, it's $700. Be appreciative of what it can do at that price! Sorry for being a little lengthy. I loved the R10 but the few flaws it had, made me switched. Note that 1 big requirement the Square has is it needs the dotted balls (similar to MLM2PRO balls) to accurately measure backspin & sidespin. I use my own balls but with dot stickers applied (sold by 3rd party online). With all the investment you have in your sim area, you should look into Square. Just make sure you don't have left & right-handed players! lol - Kobee

Thank you Josh you have helped me a lot. Before building my indoor sim I only used my R10 outdoors at driving ranges I never knew that the R10 could pick up short ball flight. For that reason I didn't play sim virtual golf I only used driving range and closest to the pin challenges as It was so hard to get the Garmin to read a small chip like a bump and run. The Faraday cage around my projector changed everything. I highly recommend all R10 users to look into it. Thanks again for making this video.

Have contacted FlightScope Customer service? You can send them photos of your sim environment & they'll tell what might be interfering. I've had my Mevo+ for 5 years & the only problem I ever had was before they added Fusion Tracking. Mine reads short chips down to like 2 feet & I play SGT w/putting with no issues. I hope you figure it out because it really is a great little LM. Thanks for spending your time helping ppl who may need it. That's really cool.
