США
Добавлен 28 дек 2013
Sharing with y'all scenes that stuck out to me over the years, and giving some insight on why. I'll be tapping in to different types of media too. Hope you see something that resonates with you!
Peace!
Peace!
The Legend of Harvard Blue - "Gator's Funeral"
This is how you introduce a villain!
I got put on to this movie WAY too late. Everything about this scene is great, and it goes from sad to tense as hell. The transition is so well done.
Listen y'all, when Blue arrives to the funeral...damn.
Underrated movie.

This was a DEEP episode! Eleanor is having nightmares, and her screaming wakes up the whole household. To give Eleanor some comfort, Roc, Joey, & Pop share their nightmares as well. When Eleanor is alone with Roc, she shares her nightmare...
OG Bobby Johnson is willing to die for his son

A man does his time...and tries to stop his son from making the same mistakes. Unforgettable dialogue and performances from Glenn Plummer (OG Bobby Johnson), Bryon Minns (Ray Ray), & Christian Coleman (Jimmy) I know y'all seen South Central! Talk about it!
"A Cool Spot In Hell" - The War Between Roc Emerson & Andre Thompson

A compilation of all Andre's scenes from Roc. Powerful acting from Clifton Powell & Charles S. Dutton. It was a realer time. They wasn't scared to make shows like this. They were needed. Enjoy and thanks for watching!

These are some Andre scenes I missed in my first vid. Taken from the episodes "Joey's Falls In Love & Joey's First Fan".
ScenesThatHit - Nichelle Nichols Tribute
Просмотров 721Год назад
Sometimes a mashup just comes to you and you just go in on it. I was watching Nichelle Nichols in "Truck Turner" and it just clicked. Whole movie was full of standout performances, and Nichelle Nichols (R.I.P.) as Dorinda...VICIOUS. Watch this movie if you haven't yet. (R.I.P. Isaac Hayes, Yaphet Kotto, & Scatman Crothers) More to come!
What’s crazy in this scene is that Roc (Charles S Dutton) was the person portraying an honest working man but really came up through a prison system that altered his trajectory. Clifton Powell’s character here could’ve easily been what Roc became in real life
The way she went from a competent, focused, caring nurse to a confused, frightened little girl in seconds is just crushing…
Powerful message for a young black man the fast lifestyle is not the way to go, & slow money is better than no money going legit. Also, always put God 1st to help u in any situation (2GODBETHEGLORY)
what show was this???
Charles S Dutton
ROC had a look that could kill
The way she reverted back to speaking like a child in her dream is beyond disturbing, but WOW! This story writing and acting is absolutely PHENOMENAL!
The show was like a haymaker to the face with this fued. This is as real as it gets... two masculine men on opposite sides standing their ground until finally a breakthrough was met. You just don't see this kinda stuff on television anymore.
1991 VERY VERY LIVE ROC 🤛👍
“…Pick up a Bible…”
Man being a young teen is this time in gangs putting in down for the B, aka Blood gang and to be here still in 2024 I give thanks to all mighty God and my lord Jesus Christ to still be alive and see my kids get grown!!!! This show was for real no joke!!!!
Roc was standing on business 😮
That's the barbershop from Martin I think
Underrated,Phenomenal show
An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. Psalm 33 : 17
August 2024 anyone?
this is how black men come together and solve problems by sticking by each other when it comes down to nonsense
25:56 looks like they low key wanna kiss each other lololol
good thing Roc had to whopp that man's @$$ for what he did to his wife
Damn RUclips just becuz I watched a video on aliens 3 now I am in a loop of ROC videos lol
Thank you Roc. After this episode he quit selling drugs, changed his name to Pinky, grew a jerry curl and opened a record store in Rancho Cucamonga
Powerful❤
So yall gonna sit here and act like yall don't know that this the same barbershop from Martin....
This should have been a Netflix miniseries. Not a fox sit come.
Unfortunately Nowadays the ROC would have been a side story murder on the news with the suspects still at large.
Clifton Powell plays the hell outta his roles
I’m getting vibes from The Chi
They don't show these kind of programs anymore that teaches black youths to value life, I haven't even seen it on BET. Maybe Hollywood doesn't want us to see it!
One of my faves actors and show
Wow... just watched this and deeply felt this. They need to bring this show back, even if it's not with the original actors, I'd like to watch this show again.
This was the best show ever. I wish it could get a reboot!!!
They need real black tv shows like this again.
The powers that be could potentially be rebooted on Peacock, Netflix, Prime, or Hulu, but without the laugh track. It can be a serious drama in the vein of Bel-Air. Considering how my city of Baltimore is at this point it makes sense. Met Charles Dutton once at funeral for my friend Tria Campbell, who he befriended due to her leukemia. They dedicated an episode to her and he wore a hat in her memory.
Roc would have gotten turned into dog food in reality
I’ll empty trash cans for the rest of my life before I take money from you!! Wow that was some serious anger
dude stared down and went hand to hand with a Xenomorph. a crack dealer named Andre’ is nothing!
Legend has it after this, Andre gave up his drug dealer lifestyle, became a pimp and moved to Rancho Cucamonga to open up a record store.
Charles Dutton should've been an A-list actor
Heartbreaking 😢😢😢😢
3:56 2024 Bald Brothers
Andre Thompson is one of the greatest story arcs in modern American history. It’s quite a tragedy that this masterful. Performance has been lost in time due to the lack of popularity in this legendary show
Do your thing Roc
This was a powerful show back in the day.
Disciples and Vice-Lords. Just missing Omar Epps. Most of the cast of First Time Felon are in this sitcom!
We need more shows like this
This was before my time but im def a fan
Here in 2024....Seems like ages since I saw this show... I was sad and angry when it was removed... But as I got a Lil older, I began to understand why... This show exemplified Black excellence. Silly jokes and b.s was not what drove it...but rather real issues and resolutions. I miss this show...and I wish more like this one existed. Much respect to the one who edited these clips together. In this way, this 30 mins video was more engaging and entertaining than 90% of the bullshit I've seen lately.
This was real black sitcoms not this goofy trash now
Shit was deep
As I’ve grown up, I’ve learn to appreciate just why my parents kept me close as a child. This broke my heart 😢
