We've had nothing but crap lately on the PAB wall, I have access to mulitpe stores, also a Legoland store.

I appreciate this experiment, it was (as expected) a bit less of a value haul compared to last time. While I agree that plates might not be the best use of the PAB wall, you have to get them somewhere. You said something along the lines of: Use PAB only for parts that you really need large quantities of. This is exactly what I tend to need most of all, after bricks, plants and detail pieces, I need plates .. and lots of them. Most of it is the small 1x plates, from smaller to the most lengthy ones, but also larger ones to create landscape and buildings. Even vehicles tends to use a few and spaceships (if you're into that) use a lot of plate, including wedge plates. Stacking the plates makes for an absolute increase in value, it is a bit of work to get them seperated, but it is worth it for people on a smaller budget. That said, thanks for the experiment and I hope to see a few more in the future.

We try to get in store at least once per month so the base schedule is 1 PAB video a month and 1 vlog per month, occasional builds and haul as we get them, thanks for taking the time to comment, we will take the feedback on board

I really like these kind of short and sweet breakdowns. What would have made it better is to have the values for each on the screen, for a quick comparison. If your goal is to make a video with not too much work in it and not make it too long, this is fine. If your goal is to make this kind of video a decent amount better, having the values on screen would really give it that kick, but it would entail a bit of extra editing. Still, these boxes are always great value. I have yet to make a box that was not at the very least 1/2 of the box value more than the actual price, if compared to Bricklink values. If compared to average Bricklink prices, instead of the best prices, this gets way better. Though I have to say, stacking the box out to perfection gets you a good amount more. I think it is fun, almost like a puzzle, but if strapped for time, this probably isn't needed to get a good deal.

Thanks for your feedback, it's not so much the time restraints it's more of a capability issue at the moment, we are still trying to find best software, equipment and set up to show what we are doing, hopefully these will improve over time as with everything we are doing.

Suppose its good to know THE DAY AFTER I bought plenty of plates that I should not have done that. But plates are so expensive and I can use so many so quickly and they had the 6x4 that are perfect for so many things. This mils plating thingy maybe the way forward but blood n sand it gets pricey real quick like, and then you sit back to take in all yer hard work and it looks exactly the same and you have spent about 400 quid and 4 weekends doing it...but ive started it now so you has to do it all, but right now I wish I had never started.

As someone that was new to the hobby after a dark age of many, many years, I did a bit of research into current techniques and Mills plates came up, as it is highly popular and effective as a display convenience. So far I've only built two complete ones and I used only one of them on a build that was just a test and never got into my display area. My girlfriend used the other one, but that build is broken down right now, so effectively I have used zero Mills plates in all of my lego display stuff. I'm not saying it isn't worth investing in, if you want to seriously have a modular city or display area made up of many 32x32 baseplates, but I think starting out it is probably better to focus on actually building something than providing a good foundation. If you build sturdy structures, like I'm used to, it is not too hard to transfer them over to a Mills if you really wanted to. Best of luck on your builds and I think you did make a good choice buying the 6x4's, that is probably one of the very best flexible plates that can be used for anything, even smaller sized projects.

@@pinobluevogel6458 I kind of had to do the mils thingy because my rail track needed to be able to be combined with everybody elses and they use mils and ballast track so there was no other choice. If you thought mils was not cheap then mils ballast track has to be one of the quickest ways ever to make you start to lose the will to live. Each piece of track needs about 50 pieces and once you have done a couple you start to feel like a robot, its the same procedure over and over and over again. Dont get me wrong, it does look spectacular, but before I started I guesstimated instead of working it all out properly what was needed and how much it would cost, this guess turned out to be a huge underestimate by about 50%. I still cannot understand how I got it so wrong. It had to be done and it does look great and the trains run better because the track is all the same level, but to know I could have had the Rivendell set instead of nice looking rail track does not fill me with joy...but it had to be done, cant just turn up after all the hard work of setting up the track is done with a few trains taking advantage of other peoples time and track for ever without people thinking you are freeloading. Have fun building!

@@neilrusling-je6zo That tracks sounds nice but also like a massive time and money investment. We have a train with extra track, but our issue was finding the space to lay it all down, so as soon as that is getting set up, I think we will stick with just basic track for now. Hopefully when it is all done, you will no longer feel the pain of all the hard work and money that went into it and can simply enjoy the very goodlooking endresult!
