The 2003 and 2006 films and Leatherface were too violent. The goal of a horror film director should be to create a scary atmosphere and convey attacks by the killer through sounds and objects that give an idea of what happened. Representing it authentically with trick scenes and holding the camera on it leaves moviegoers disturbed. When I watched the films on DVD I always fast forwarded and skipped the slaughter scenes. Happy Halloween 🎃
No other remake of the franchise holds a candle to this one. Not even close.
Erin was the cause of all of this. If she would have told him long before all of this, that she was pregnant, things could have been different. They probably wouldn't go to this concert, or they would have take a different route. This is what happens when you keep secrets

The best movie of horror
I do wish we got to see Erin in modern day, but I wouldn't want her in a mental hospital. I am okay with her doing an interview since the time the movie came out, it would basically be the 30th anniversary of the nightmare. And obviously they had Erin cut off Leatherface's arm so he could have one which will make the police realize they caught the wrong guy. But I wish they didn't go with that rout. Because since they were going to make a sequel, it would make it difficult for Leatherface use a chainsaw with one hand. Also, I wish that the police told Erin that when they found Kemper's body, they found an engagement ring on him since Leatherface found it. I know that would make Erin more sad, but I just wish that she knew he wanted to make that commitment with her, especially since in these deleted scenes, it reveals that she was pregnant with his child. They were also considering to have Marilyn Burns reprise her role as Sally Hardest for her to tell the events of what happened.

I could've sworn there was a scene in the basement where Kemper was still alive on the table getting his skin peeled off.

Back when this was released it was really scary. Maybe because during early 2000’s horror were kinda campy and cheezy. This one had a good cinematography, atmosphere and score arrangements. This movie started the torture porn in horror movies, followed by Saw and Hostel
Wish they would’ve kept the original film. Would’ve made a lot of sense why erin took the baby at the end. And it would’ve made the move a lot better. Still a good movie just would’ve been better.
i liked the deleted scene where erin said she's pregnant but it wouldn't have meant anything as kemper died and possibly erin lost her baby with all the running around and falling down the stairs.
There was only a hitchhiker on the original texas chainsaw massacre and on the 2003 movie but the rest of them there were not any hitchhiker
I feel like I'm an idiot for not really getting the alternate ending. Did they go in and discover a different body, and thats supposed to be Leatherface showing up at the asylum where Erin is or....?
Wait so at the end Was that leather face in the bed? And was that also him walking with the 1 arm? I’m confused by what’s going on lol
its a book that serves as a sequel. In the end if TCM (movie) Erin cuts off leather face arm. During the investigation, there was a "survivor" with with one arm that doesn't speak to the police just eats candy. The investigators believed that the victim was traumatized by those events therefore refuses to speak. 30 years later a journalist gets chosen to report on this story since it wasn't really reported when the massacre was first investigated. As he investigates he notices missing evidence due to cover ups and police officers being lazy at their job. A victim, Erin comes out and says she a survivor. He interviews her tells him "you caught the wrong person because they have both of their arms. leather face only had one arm," because she cut it off. We see the swat team go to the house only to find a dead corpse with two arms and candy wrappers. Then it shows leatherface escaping and basically getting away with it because there isn't a sequel.

This is a fantastic movie and I can honestly say that these scenes deserved to be deleted. They only detract from the perfect beast of a film. Kudos to the director.
They should of kept the ending with the reporter interview and the fbi raid 🤦♂️

This is one of the scariest movies ever, still to this day! I just watched it again tonight! Y’all did such a phenomenal job! Wow!
Not as scary as "Jeepers Creepers" or "The Collector" or the "Tool Box Murders" all three of those creeps put leatherface & every other movie slasher to shame!!!!
@@mattlawrence1932 I’d have to agree to disagree and the movies you listed, in my opinion, are very scary too! They’re all super fabulous!
I’d have preserved this ending but rather than just put Erin as an older woman I would make instead that just a few months later (so Jessica stays in that scene)

It's almost like a different movie. I'm kinda glad they took our Erin in a insane asylum. Bc the ending was a victory for her, the asylum shows it was all for nothing she truly didn't get away

The scene with the swat team shows them storming into the abandoned house in the woods where Morgan was killed. The fat person on the bed is a woman killed by leather face and the guy walking away with one arm is leatherface.
So at 13:45 ... Is that leatherface? Or someone whose been wrongly accused? I'm so confused

Hahaha...there's a reason for ratings boards...No, not really. It's a horror movie for fuck sake. It would've been a standard 18 in the UK in It's full version. Not the ridiculous R so you can take your kids to see it...
