JKU Borla Climber catback and Airaid intake before and after
Did you take the ferry from Davis?
Yes. They were great. #be early for the return trip. They were very prompt.
Loved the video! Can't wait to do this one day. What year is your JK?
Awesome! Do it. It was a fun trip. It’s a 2012 JKU Arctic
What's the setup on your rig?
I apologize. I've been out of you tube for a while. My 2012 JKU has a 3.5" AEV lift with Bilstein RS shocks. JKS trackbar. Yukon air lockers w 4.56. ARB onboard compressor. Borla exhaust w Airaid intake. 35x17 bfgs. LOD sliders. Warn bumpers. Optima yellow top battery.
I enjoyed your video very much. I’m ashamed to say this but I was born in NC and only visited the island one time in 60 years. Have a question.. How much did you use your 4 wheel drive. I’m looking at taking my utility trailer and converting it to a useful rooftop camper system. I have a F150 2WD but don’t want a 4x4 anymore. So what’s your advice?
Honestly I wouldn’t attempt without 4X. There are soft spots you could get into before you know it and be chassis deep.
Do there are any bathroom near Campsites or required to pack out ? Water sources near?
The National Seashore website mentions waste requirements. There is a public restroom on island but it’s near the cabins and ferry dock. So can easily be miles away depending on your camp location.
How long was the ride? I’m thinking of going this year.
I'm sorry I never saw this. Trying to get back into my videos. The rides are typically 4-6 hours depending on your group. If you haven't yet you should definitly check these events out. Really good folks!
That was by far the best and most informative video I've experienced on Cape Lookout. Great setup, beautiful family and chilled pups. I'll be back.
Thanks for the kind words. We enjoyed our stay there. I am working to improve my content so I thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy some of our other adventures;)
What time of year did you go out there? Looks like it was somewhat chilly
This was in October 2022. It was cool and very windy, but not uncomfortable.
Awesome video and even better time! We have to get together soon my friend!
I can't wait until our family of 6 can experience this! Thanks for sharing!
welcome to the herd!
Thank You!
Can you tell me the trails that were on this ride?
Honestly I've been on a few of these before this ride but I was following the trail leader this day and hit a bunch I hadn't before. Hoping to bump into him on the fall ride and I can see if he knows any trail names.
Great video. Hope to hit the byway soon in our Bronco!
Thanks! The Gorge is awesome. Fall ride is coming up!
@@jamesonvideos1 We'll be there in Oct for the Overland The Red event. Can't wait! Re watching your video tonight to get hyped
Is that with their S-Type muffler? It sounds good. Any issues with droning?
Sorry I'm not great about replies.. Better late than never I suppose. Yes it is. No it doesn't drone at all. Actually not annoying and stays quiet until you get in it.
and now that you've had it for a few months... what do you think?
Sorry I'm not great about replies.. Better late than never I suppose. I have been very pleased with the Climber exhaust system. Not obnoxious and sounds good when you get on the throttle. My only problem I've had is I started towing an overland trailer and the Borla tailpipe points straight at the trailer connector.. It actually melted some of the wiring on a long trip. So I have shortened the tailpipe and directed it at a 45degree to exhaust behind the driver side tire. Not an issue until I started towing. I just didn't think about it prior..
where at the gorge is this
